I never knew they existed until about 3-4 months ago when I saw an advertisment on a website. I cant remember what brand it was for but I remember it being way to expensve. But, the concept got deeply imbedded in the brain and manic research began.

Im curious to see how others first learned ecigs existed. They have been around a lot longer than Ive known about them. So, how did it happen for you?

I got pounced on by someone at a mall kiosk. $150 for what amounted to two batts and 10 cartomizers, a charger and a fancy box...

I was about to do it!!! and my GF said... check online first.
Did that... found you guys... you told me to stay away from the mall folks...
and the rest is history...

I was loaned one while I was in the hospital last August. Though, it tasted like *insert word here*, I looked them up shortly after getting back home. A google search lead me here at ECF. Did a little reading and bought a 401. Didn't like it much since I couldn't get it to stop leaking. Came back and read alot more and chose a 510. Been with the 510 ever since. I even used it last week while I was "vacationing" at the hospital for 3 days last week. Ordered some eGo parts for my 510 Friday and waiting for them to ship.

Wife saw them at the mall. Brought me back a card. I laughed it off as a gimmick. Became desperate to quit (again) and thought about that card which I had immediately thrown away. Went on-line and saw that Costco On-line store was selling the njoy Npro. Thought that Costco usually sells decent stuff. Bought one for $80.00 last August. I was unsuccessful with quittingat that time. End of Jan this year, I quit smoking altogether for one week using this thing. Actually a hellish way to do it. Poor quality and over priced just like the usual mall items. Finally after reading through ECF I purchased the eGo. eGo is a great device. From there it has been a 5 volt pass through and a 6 volt mod. Now I use the 6 volt mod for a huge nicotine hit and the eGo with a catomizer for a flavor hit. I keep them both ready and going at all times. The pass through I use occasionally and usually at work.

About 9 months ago, my boyfriend was working on a car with one of his good friends and his wife happened to mention that she had started using an e-cig. My boyfriend told me about it and i was naturally very curious. I couldn't wrap my head around it- electric?.....what about smoke, taste, going outside, health, etc.? I went and checked hers out (I think it was a Gamucci?) and was impressed. I wanted one so i started googling the crap out of e-cigs. It led me here, and ecf led me to getting a 510 and later switched to a Vapor King and now an eGo. Couldn't be happier.

I saw an ad taped to the door of Smoke Depot where I used to buy my cigarettes -- Vapure sold here. I was curious, picked up a brochure. Lagged on it. A week later I was back there buying cigarettes and heard a very excited customer telling the clerk how some of her friends had quit smoking using them. When I got home, I immediately googled electronic cigarette on the internet. That led me to ECF. Read til I was bleary-eyed for a couple of days, then ordered the Joye510 starteR kit from Cignot.
THANK YOU ECF:thumbs:

Hawaii! Yay haha
I quit being a regular smoker years ago, but sometimes when drinking with friends I'll take a drag off their cigarettes. While throwing back a beer, someone mentioned electronic cigarettes at a mall kiosk. The next day I asked my boyfriend to research it for me.

A week later a Blu kit came in the mail, he bought it after what he calls 'a lot of research' and we both dive in. Loved it!

3 days into the Blu, I find ECF. Learn about the 510. The rest is history!

Thanks for everything so far, ECF community!

I initially heard about them on a rather negative NPR segment. It got my interest up enough to tell my wife who said she had seen them at the mall. I couldn't stomach that price, so the research began (Thank you ECF!) and I ordered an M401. While waiting for it to come I found a guy on Craigslist selling some RN4081s and got one of those, too. By the time the week was out, I had smoked my last cigarette. I often think of how that interviewer on NPR who didn't bother to do any research on e-cigs actually got me to quit smoking with one.

my son told me about e-cigs a year ago when I was complaining how sick I was of smoking. Of course I blew him off at that time. About 6 months later I was on the web and looked up e-gigs. My first one was like a blu but cheeper and when I received it I got really sick. I soon discovered I had a low tolerance to PG so I went to VG. Everything was fine but those carts were a ..... to fill and leaked all the time.
After about a month I saw the k808 and bought one. I was very happy with everthing about them but soon began to loose interest. I ordered an eGo and am waiting for it. I wanted one of these originally but of course went with what was cheeper. That is not always the best way I have discovered.

A few of my friends at work had one or tried one, most didn't continue and went back on analogs, but i found this place did alot of research ordered a 510 kit with pcc and thanking the almighty(s) that i didn't order a blu or greencig. Still kicking myself i didn't spend the money straight away on an eGo and alot of LR atties..

After I quit analogs, my son told me about malls selling electronic cigars. I did a quick web search and unfortunately went to a couple of "review" sites.

Little did I know these "reviews" were only regarding Blus, Lucis, Greensmokes, etc. I went with a Luci kit. Basically the same as Blu. Since I wasn't jonesing for nicotine, I went 0 nic. Little vapor, less flavor with their cartridges.

Fortunately for me, I lost my battery that had the only atomizer that came with it (sort of 401 style I think). So I was desperately looking for a replacement. However this time the search led me here to ecf.

I read posts for hours, decided to go with the Hello 016 kit and placed the order for one and some juice from Mad Vapes that morning. It arrived and the rest is history. I purchased the good type 510 batteries (manual) to use with the cartomizers I also purchased.

Someone lead me to Tasty Vapor's 0 nic doublers. I also found juices I love from Dat's Vapor and My Freedom Smokes in particular. Picked up some DIY stuff from Perfumer's Apprentice.

So now I have the 016, 510s, 901s, and a 510 5v pass through with adapters for the 901 as well. Now if I can find the perfect variable voltage, juice feeding mod... :vapor::vapor::vapor:
