I had smoked for over 30 years. Made many attempts using different methods to quit that nasty habit. Everyone has sooooo many reasons to quit. Finally, for me, it was the thought of my 5 year old grandson. I want to be around and watch him grow up and to be a part of his life. Fortunately, I found the world of e-cigs. I was able to quit smoking analogs on the very first day with the help of store bought disposables.

I've smoked for 15 years and tired to quit a few times over the years. While buying a pack of smokes i picked up a disposable e cig. I puffed on the disposable in found it was quite easy to lower my intake of cigarettes. 2 days later i ordered my 1st set up and after i got it in the mail and finished of my pack of squares i haven't looked back. Now i need to convince the guys i work with that vaping isn't ridiculous and is much better for their health.

I smoked many decades...and really liked to smoke. In theory I "wanted" to quit, but it was mostly lip service for the benefit of my kids and other family members. I wasn't crazy about the hassles of smoking...burn holes, scummy film on stuff, the lingering smell, and especially being treated like a leper...but I just really LIKED the hand to mouth habit and the rituals. And I'd become dependent on the calming effects of smoking in stress situations. I knew from my many failed attempts at quitting that without addressing my hand to mouth habit, there was little hope I could break free. People suggested chewing on pencils or peppermint sticks or whatever...really? That so did NOT appeal to me!

I heard about e-cigs sometime in early 2011 but thought they would be really expensive and not for "ordinary people" like me...they were for the starlets and celebrity types with money and access to things us little people don't. But then I saw an ad for Greensmoke on FB. I looked into it (didn't bite) and my interest was piqued. I started researching about e-cigarettes online and settled on a cig-a-like kit that I thought was priced okay and had good online reviews. That was in late Sept. 2011. I thought at least I could use the e-cigs as a supplement thing...when I couldn't smoke. But hoped maybe it'd work to help me quit.

The day I got my kit and tried it was the day I quit smoking. That was a year and a half ago.

I've moved on to "bigger and better" things now...but what was important was that little cig-a-like kit WORKED for me. It was almost like a miracle.

I got tired of smoking & was actually smoke free for a month before buying my first ecig (quit 3/31/2012). Reason being I had 'quit' before for a few month periods in the past & always fell back to smoking eventually.

If I got into vaping, I more than likely wouldn't ever go buy that first pack.

Worked a charm. Almost been a full year.

I've saved cash, learned a lot & of course the given improvement to my health. Cigarettes sound horrible now & vaping is a vastly preferred method of getting nicotine.

Do you feel better in your health for it?

I will answer this.

Hellllllsss YESSSSS!:D

I literally had issues with breathing when I wake up in the morning, sometimes along with chest pains. I been smoking Newport menthol since the age of 15. I am 34 now. I always wanted to quit but as you know, cigarettes are probably THE worst when it comes down to trying to give up. Mentally and physically it's plain hell. What got me expeimenting is the commercial for blu e cigs. Tried it for a week or two but it was awful and it was starting to become more expensive than smoking Newports. I told myself there has to be a better way to e cigs so I started researching and researching then found this forum:) I have to say, finding this forum was one of the best thing that happened in my life. Now the only problem is that I am enjoying vaping a little too much. Especially after I just got my ego twist and vivi.

I was a 40 yr 3 pad smoker. I was using lozenges, gum, cold turkey...just trying to cut down. One day I saw an ad for some e cig, can't remember which one, and started searching. That search led me here to ECF. The next day, after some reading, I ordered my first kit (Volt) just on a whim. I never considered that it would work, just hoped that it would help me cut back. Long story short, I was smoke free in 3 days. So, in a sense, E cigs found me.

I started with an Njoy a few years back the battery life was very short and the "juice" burned my throat. I only used it for about a month.
I smoked for a few more years at 3 PAD then I decided to give ecigs another try after lung surgery. I got an Ego with some nasty juice and that lasted about 2 months. I smoked for another 6 months and knew I had to stop.
This time around I have found VV / VW and several juices I like, I have up graded my PV several times over and the smokers cough is gone.

Ran into a friend at the cottage that had been having serious health issues. He told me about Vaping and that was that. Since then as a thank you I've bought and his wife 2 upgraded kits and supply them with free juice...small price to pay and I'm am forever indebted to him for giving me a new lease on life. My friend and his health you ask....71 yrs young and healthy as a horse- his specialist and GP are AMAZED.

Sitting at my bench, in the shop at work one day, when a mate dropped in for a chat he was sucking on this wierd small penal/rocket like shiny thing? As I was about to ask what is that, he blew out some smoke? Long story short I've wanted to quit for awhile but did enjoy smoking so it seemed a logical choice seeing as it was available and not at the cost I would have presumed.

So Vamo I mean Whamo here I am.

I had tried several times to quit but nothing else worked. Go Vape Go.

I owe my mate vintagerider his name in here, an ever lasting amount of gratitude. TY mate.
