You could always just vape less or cut down on the nic and see how you feel. If I've gone overboard with vaping for whatever reason I generally just don't feel good, but not actually sick. I would certainly say if you do feel sick you should check with your doctor.

I smoked for 50 years and have been vaping for 17 months now. One thing I've discovered is that the activity of smoking is almost as important as the smoking itself. So, you may find that dropping the nic won't be as difficult as you might think. Good luck, I hope you figure it out quickly.

Hi Chimney,

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well but I don't feel we should be answering medical related questions. I think that is reckless and irresponsible. Dropping nic levels works differently for everyone. Some stay same forever some drop from 36 to zero in six months. Me personally .. I started at 18mg ( since Thanksgiving) I'm at 12mg now for about two weeks ( feel fine) and hoping to drop to 6mg in a few more months but no pressure on myself. Eventually would like to be at zero nic and just vaping delicious flavors. Gl hope you feel better :)

Agree with the above......... If you have concerns talk to a medical professional. I've got just enough med training that I know whats going on with ME. I will never give advice on that topic to another person. I've been vaping since 9/5 and I still change between 18 and 24mg. Good luck and get better. We like you here. But we like everyone here. :toast:

When I found the devices that worked and enjoyed vaping more, hence vaped more and gave myself the all too familiar nicotine headache.

I think having a good PV that produces a good lot of vapor helps me to cut down on the nicotine as the major part of my addiction has become the act itself rather than the nicotine.

Think I'll try a small sample of 0 nic juice for my next bottle and see if it still gives me enough of a chest hit.

I didn't really know when to drop my nic... I just did it after a couple months, thinking it was appropriate. After dropping, I didn't notice much bodily difference - but I did use it more often. A few weeks later, I was craving an older higher nic flavor I had, and I was stunned to find that it nearly floored me after a few hits! ... okay, that's an exaggeration, but I got light headed and had the feeling of smoking too many cigarettes, if you know what I mean.

So for me, I dropped when the time felt right - and it's totally ambiguous. However, once I try the more potent juices, I can easily tell it's way too much! ... even if only a few milligrams!

I started at 24mg with the goal of getting down to 12 or even 6 over time. I found that after 4-5 months or so my tolerance would go down and I would start to feel the rush of nicotine during my first vape in the morning more and more. Combining that with coffee I would get a bit jittery. I took this as a message from my body that it was time to decrease the nic. So I went from 24 to 18, then 18 to 15 over the course of a year. I just bought 12 and 18 bottles of the same juice and mixed them together from my favorite vendors.

Recently I started making DIY juices after one of my vendors closed down. Not only is it cheaper but I am able to mix to my own specs. So I moved from 15 to 13, and can knock it down 1mg for each batch. I just keep listening to my body and making changes when it feels right!
