Ok so the last 2 days I haven't been feeling to well & I just want to try & rule this out. I haven't had any headaches but I have upset stomach...not just nausea. Sorry for giving too much information. Lol. I was thinking it was something I ate but I'm not sure. I've been vaping 18 since I started in December. Do you think it could be the nic?

I just want to clarify that I am not asking for medical advice...just wondering what your body did to let you know it was time to cut back & if you went through anything similar.

My friends that vape get jittery when they get to much nicotine. That seems to be the first symptom. You can get nausia, cold sweats, dizziness, tachacardia (racing heartrate), elevated blood pressure, and stomach pain. No one I know has taken it that far though.
It could be the nicotine. It is also Flu season. How long have these symptoms persisted? If for more than 2 weeks then I would try dropping down to 12 or 16 mg e-juice.

Thanks! It's been 2 days so ill keep an eye on it. I haven't had any other symptoms so hopefully it'll pass.

When we start something new we are always quick to blame any change from normal to the new activity. When we switch over from smoking to vaping there will be a few things we notice that we wouldn't have given the time of day to otherwise. Our bodies are trying to acclimate themselves to this new, cleaner option of getting the nicotine it has been accustomed to getting and could be doing a bit of house cleaning. Your body will let you know when enough is enough by getting jittery and having a slight headache. If that happens just put down your device for a little while and those things will quickly go away.

For me it was gaining the knowledge that Nic increases muscular contraction. Though it makes you quicker it increases things like back pain

Wow! Thanks for that info! I've had back issues for years so that's good to know!

In my case I have noticed a considerable decrease in the pain I live with so I would have to say that that statement doesn't always hold true.

Opinions vary. When I quit smoking, at 42 years old, after smoking for 30 years, I developed asthma, that I never had before. I also had a huge increase in depression and anxiety, that only got worse over the next several years. Vaping has actually helped the asthma, but done little for the rest. Although these results are not typical, there are groups of people out there that went downhill after giving up smoking.

Hi Chimney,

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well but I don't feel we should be answering medical related questions. I think that is reckless and irresponsible. Dropping nic levels works differently for everyone. Some stay same forever some drop from 36 to zero in six months. Me personally .. I started at 18mg ( since Thanksgiving) I'm at 12mg now for about two weeks ( feel fine) and hoping to drop to 6mg in a few more months but no pressure on myself. Eventually would like to be at zero nic and just vaping delicious flavors. Gl hope you feel better :)

Thanks! I definitely agree with your point. I didn't want medical opinions...just to see if anyone had a similar experience. I leave the medical advice to my doctors. After you sit around feeling bad for a day or so my mind just began to wonder if there might be a slight connection. I didn't think so but it couldn't hurt to ask. I'm pretty sure at this point I got some bad take out but no worries...if it persists through the night ill give my MD a call in the morning.

Chimney,

Remember when you would go all day without a cig and when you first lit up, you would smoke it too fast? Your head would swim and you'd get vertigo and fell like falling down? That's exactly how too much nic while vaping feels:)

I started reducing my nic levels at one year. I have smoker in the home and wanted to be REALLY sure of myself before I reduced it. I've gone from 18mg down to 3 mg in the last year with no problems at all!
