My wife bought this thing from friend I only play with it like a toy then I found myself ok without smoking. I take it longer to see how long I can stay without smoking. Well...it is 2 years now and I cannot stand to take more than 2 puffs of cigarette, it smell really bad for me. So I think I have quitted smoking already.

Good for you, that is they way I did it. I bought a cigalike on August 20th 2011, that I hated, did some research and bought a Joye Ego on August 31st. I set a date that I would finish my last pack of cigarettes and not buy any more. That was Sept 7th 2011, then after I got to work, I found a full pack of cigarettes in my car. I had been so worried about being without a cigarette and then here they are, so I alternated that pack and my e cig for 2 days. When I finally smoked the last cigarette before going to bed on Sept 8th. I decided that I could do it with the e-cigs, so Sept 9th. 2011, I went all day no cigarettes and I was so proud of myself that there was no going back. Don't pressure yourself, if you fail, tomorrow is another day as is the day after that and the day after that. Don't share with your friends and family that you have a quit day so that they don't pressure you or make you feel like a failure if you can't quit on that day. Do this on your own terms and do this for yourself. Then share your success... Good Luck and keep us posted...

Great going! I used to roll my own for nearly 20yrs and one day I also simply did not buy any new anymore.
You'll notice that if you can keep it up for 2-3 weeks its not that hard anymore and after 2 months a real cigarette might still look appealing but if you'd take couple of puffs, it just taste horrid. I did to me at least ....

Make sure you always have a spare battery charging, some coils and sufficient liquid BTW. Order or make on time so you are not 'forced' to go back.

I went into vaping with NO intentions of quitting smoking. I got tired of the complaints at home of the smell so I decided to start vaping at home and in the car and smoke at work and other places. HOWEVER I found myself after a month or so also vaping at work because it just tasted better!

I finally just quit buying cigarettes and haven't had one in 3 years.

I got an apartment in a non-smoking building which was a nice unit and was sick of smelling like smoke, started with what was low ohm at the time 1.7 carto's , menthol ,24mg menthol juice and stuck with it through the cough and runny nose, I tried a cig a like sometime before that from the reservation , went all in, bought 2 packs of refills with the kit instead of the smokes I was there to buy and they were not enough to replace the real thing for very long, I totaly bought into the facts/benefits of vaping from when learned of it/started researching it (vaping) August 2011

I still have 2 packs of ciggs in he bathroom medicin cabinet:vapor:

How did you quit cigarettes

I never told myself I was "quitting cigarettes" -- at least, not the first time. I told myself I was trying vaping, to see if it would work; I kept a tally-sheet of every actual cigarette I smoked, to see if that total decreased since starting to vape; it did. I cut down by over 50% in the first week, without even really trying. So I thought, wonder how it would work if I REALLY DID try... how it worked was that I decreased even faster.

After about 3 wks, I was down to just 1 a day, for 3 days in a row; that "first morning smoke" was the most stubborn, because I couldn't seem to get satisfied with just vaping, in the morning. Then I realized why: I was trying to vape as if I was smoking -- short, fast, deep inhales, and that doesn't work well with vaping. So the next day, I took slooooowwwwww inhales, let it hang around in my mouth and throat before inhaling, and exhaled via my nose as much as my mouth -- and that was my first smoke-free day.

But I still had cigarettes in the house; still have them now in fact; in the freezer in a ziplock is my last open pk, with 12 in it, which is now about 14mos old. Because the simple fact of not having any cigarettes available is enough to a) make me panic, b) make me furious, and c) make me go buy some cigarettes and smoke them.

When I quit the 2nd time, after my relapse, it was harder, and required a real effort of will. I had to keep reminding myself: what do I REALLY WANT? Do I want to be chained to a cigarette for the rest of my life, or do I want to go back to happily smoke-free? And if not now... WHEN? Because each one I smoked, just hooked me that much harder. Finally my will prevailed and I quit again, while still at 5 cigs a day. 14 and a half months ago.

I think for myself personally, I enjoyed the habit more than what it was I was actually smoking. That's why vaping worked so well for me. There are definitely times where I miss the simplicity of grabbing a cigarette out of a pack, smoking it and disposing of it without the juice mess and battery life issues but the health benefits far outweigh the minor inconvenience. Plus, I smell good. Who doesn't like to smell good?

Well tomorrow I am not buying smokes. I am getting comfortable vaping.

Excellent, good luck tomorrow.

That's how I did it. Went home on a Friday w/out smokes.....nervous, but it all worked. By monday I knew I would never buy another cig again.

I smoked a pack+ per day for 30 years. My wife smoked a pack a day for around 25 years. We bought a couple of mods to take with us on vacation to use where we couldn't smoke. A week in a cabin and driving a rental car, both wouldn't allow smoking, so we used the ecigs when we felt like we needed to smoke.

After that we both spent a few months using the ecigs as a supplement. Sometimes we would smoke, sometimes we would vape. It just depended on the situation.

Once we both found flavors that we really liked we vaped more and more and smoked less and less. Neither of us ever really said "I'm quitting smoking today", we just sort of did. In fact I walked around for almost 2 months with a half pack of cigarettes "just in case" I wanted one. Never really did and eventually just threw them away.

That was over 2 years ago. I have no desire to smoke at all now. Can't stand the smell. Can't believe I used to smell like smokers do.

I bought an ecigarette, thinking I had to quit.
Didnt think it would actually work... but I had decided to quit.
And it better than worked. its satisfyingly amazing.
I gradually cut down over 3 days... bought two packs when I got my first cig and swore those would be the last packs I bought. They were. I had four left after I finished with smokes. I had one a few weeks later and it sucked. And then I broke the rest up and havent looked back since.

I was in the hospital for a month with an infection. When I got out the first thing I wanted was a cigarette. But everyone told me you've been without one this long so......my brother in law introduced me to vaping and
I never looked back. Before I came home my husband threw away all my cigarettes and ashtrays that I had at home.

My son had been vaping for a while, he also tried to get me to start as well, but each juice I tried I didn't like. One day he put a Mini Protank 2 in front of both myself and my wife, the juice he brought this time we both liked, lemonade. That was almost 2 yrs ago and I have not had a cigarette since. I now use a LP Reo Grand/RM2, I make my own juice and of course my own micro coils. What a gift my son gave me that day!

I found I couldn't fit my PV and an analog in my mouth at the same time, something had to go ...

Seriously, I was having major dental work done, extractions and implants. I could vape after oral surgery, but burning tobacco will feel like a spike is being driven through your head, a great disincentive ...

After a few days, there was no turning back ... :D
