Use several flavorings.. 2 or 3. Also, I like FA vape Wizard or TFA Smooth, sparingly ..like 1 drop per 10ml. I don't use EM because I feel that it dulls the flavor. I use Sucralose for sweeting
And all the time I've been using EM with all my flavors wondering why they aren't getting better. Thanks for this!

I was in the same boat. Skipped the EM and now use sucralose. Huge difference. After a year of not so thrilling DIY results I am finally seeing results I am very pleased with.

I've had some success & have some very vapable mixes. I was just getting a little aggravated because I have yet to get the real 'in your face' kind of flavor I'm looking for. I can see now that theres no short cut or magic ingredient. It just takes time. I'm all better now. Thanks.

I understand exactly what FogHawg is saying. I've been doing DIY for over half a year now and it is very aggravating because it seems like no matter how many types of flavors you try, you don't get that "Bang!" in your face flavor. For example, most of my flavors you taste a bit on the exhale but everyone who tries them, including me, says it needs more flavor. I would start at 2% and end up at 30% flavoring in most cases and then I would give up and try again a few days later. I got to the point where I thought my PG and VG were messed up so I ordered new ones. No Luck. Fog, I am in the same boat you are. When I make a flavor I want it to hit me the second I vape it...I don't want to have to lick my lips afterwards and figure it if it's enough flavor. Let me know if you figure it out Fog.

it' my opinion that all of the top quality juice vendors have backgrounds in either the culinary flavoring arts or have some decent knowledge of chemistry...both high brow and vermillion river claim to have the culinary background if i recall correctly

you will have to be a bit patient and figure out what works for you....

What i've done is make a few simple ones for myself that i know i can go to...and then i experiment with a new one each week or so...i also still buy a little vendor juice as a reference point and see if i can make it or come close

Yeah, but, according to Little Chef:

You would be surprised at the quality of the cooks at Chef School a lot of them couldn't make anything taste good and they had a extensive cooking background.

I on the other hand love to experiment and some my creations don't quite cut it the first time, but I will nail it eventually.

I'm new to the diy world myself. I have been trying to do a simple dk tab and can't seem to find the flavor I am trying to match or duplicate from some of the vendors I love. I have been using that dk tab flavoring as well as the 555. I am getting there, but I can't get this weird bubble gum taste to go away. I am not using any sweetener or anything. Strange. I guess it requires a lot of trial and error. I am not giving up. I just know I have good juice in me somewhere!! There is great info on this thread and I am glad I stumbled upon it.

I found it easy with -vaping zone gourmetsuper concentrate flavorings-It finally came together and made me think of an anology. Jelly Belly Jelly Beans. Always taste good. Even when you grab several flavors most the time ( not all the time) its in the flavoring. Thats my only input because i like it simple and im not a DIY hobbiest but i do like strong flavors. Starts with
1 % and no need to do more than 4% if you like strong good flavor and no chemicl perfume effects and no sweetners needed.

Oh man, I just had this idea for flavor combinations. I was eating some jelly belly's and thought wow, these taste a lot like my flavorings. Got online and looked up jelly belly recipes, there's a ton of them. Going to be trying some of the combinations lol...
