Get yourself a can and some waxed string....we'll talk. ;)

OK, I have a commode and some waxed dental floss... but not enough to reach Kali!

And you can just build your own batteries after your left-over batteries die...

Good info. There will always be individuals that will provide what the folk need/want to survive, for a price. I've been to more than several parts of the globe where the ingenuity is absolutely remarkable!

Actually, in more detail it is about a wire coil with a magnet being spun inside it and there are calculations to get specific voltages and amps. Good old mathmatics!

Yes, I know. But the example you linked to showed a digital multimeter used to determine polarity. Too funny! Maybe it is a EMP hardened meter.

I used that as example of how simple it would be to scavenge one from a cordless drill that would otherwise be useless since an EMP would fry its charger and probably its battery too, since the battery pack often have chips in them.
And considering that, when building a mod, positive and negative can be on either side of the connector, you could build a battery-free mod. Then experiment with home-made atties until you found the right resistance for whatever voltage the crank put out.

And I think I just designed my next mod...... "Cranky Vapes".... I am such a nerd

Sometime I anticipate recoil and my shots fly high and to the right, but I'm working on it.

While sighting in my new .300 Win Mag this weekend I noticed that I have picked up a similar issue. I started rushing my shots! I read somewhere that snipers fire in between heartbeats, so I was trying to learn how to do that. Ended up causing me major grief, so I just forgot about it and went back to sub MOA groups at 100 yards. :p

I'm sure most of your thoughts will gravitate to: You Don't."

But what about in a SHTF situation where there was an EMP blast that took out electronics. You're on the lamb having to survive in a post apocalyptic world. Only 100% mechanical PV's would work IF you could charge them or if you have EMP proofed your PV ahead of time.

A solar charger may be fried.

We have all seen light bulbs made to light from simple earth batteries from things like oranges or potatoes. But could something like this actually be enough to charge a PV battery?

Lets assume you have a 100 % mechanical PV and the battery could take a charge ( no diodes or protection circuits in the battery). How would you do it?

Loot every store in sight and fill up a grocery cart with cigarettes. Look out for zombies on the way.
