When someone complains their tank is leaking or not wicking/feeding juice, someone usually inevitably comes along and says "you need to leave some space above your juice and create negative pressure in your tank", or something similar.

Explain to me like I am 5 years old how one goes about "creating that negative pressure" in a vape tank?

Also, in the case of juice wicking/feeding, how does negative pressure help with that?

My favorite responses are the hundreds of “I have that such and such and never had a problem”. How is that at all helpful. Honest to god it REALLY ticks me off for some reason. I don’t get ticked off very often or about many things but for some reason these people and their dumb azz unuseful replies just burn me up. Like Well good for you. You must be an awesome person not to have that issue I was asking HELP for!

I've heard it said that positive pressure is when you blow, and negative pressure is when you suck.

Note 1: That is of course…as you cover the airflow on a tank.
Note 2: Don't work at all for a dripper; but,
Note 3: If you blow the latter, you'll wet your pants.

Good luck. :)

Anecdotal evidence is the only real evidence - everybody knows that.

It's like the one where someone is asking for help winding and wicking coils, there's always someone who pops in and says I can recoil and wick a tank in two minutes. Not a lot of useful info there really. It takes me longer to pull my tools out of the box and lay them out on the kitchen table than it takes Mr Smartie Pants to do the whole operation. By the time I've got the tank dismantled cleaned and dried off he's getting ready to refill his tank.

It used to remind me of those wacko quick draw contests where the guy is standing 6 feet from the target with his hand hovering 1/4" from the gun which is in a trick holster with an open front. The whistle blows and 1/10th of a second later the target explodes.

Not a problem here. I have a tendency to suck the air out of most rooms.

Now, let's just not all of us turn into a bunch of nattering wick-winders all at once, shall we?

There are children in the room. ;)

    Good luck. :)

Though not a child, I have been told that I have a child-like mind. It seems that lately, I have been told that more frequently.

Two minutes, never here. There are days when I can re-coil in ten minutes. Other days, after two or maybe three tries, I get it right - thirty to forty minutes.

In a non-rebuildable tank the best description of this phenomenon would be manufacturing and design error. If you are using the product in a normal manner it shouldn't have this issue. It shouldn't have made it through to production if refilling the tank causes leakage as refilling of the tank is necessary to use the product. If every time you refill your car with gasoline if you didn't stand on your head open the trunk and remove a tire some gasoline just spurted out from somewhere It would be unacceptable. That's a normal part of operation of a motor vehicle. Now if you buy the shell of a car and you are responsible for building The innards that will be accepting the gas and utilizing the gas then perhaps it's not a design flaw perhaps it's you not building it correctly. I know this isn't really what you were asking I just want to know like who manufactures some of these tanks that are well known for this kind of problem tries it out seize that it's happening and it's like eh good enough

It's goin around. My sympathies. On the other hand, giddy is not bad. It depends on the quality of the bourbon.

    Good luck. :)
