I cannot find any way to get help on here. I had to clear all my browser history trying to deal with Photobucket, and I got them to email me a new password, now I want to set it back to what it was, and it WILL NOT accept the password they sent me as the current password!!!!

Why is there no way to get any help here?

Moved to Site Feedback and Help

If you're copying and pasting the password, your browser may be throwing a space into the mix. Try inputting the password manually.

It also helps if you post in the proper forum or use the Contact Link at the bottom of the page to receive site assistance.

I had a similar problem on another forum - probably related to banking. Anyway, I finally had to open the site and open a new tab for email. Then, I was able to copy the password. Seems like otherwise, opening email closed the primary site, causing the password to be deleted.

Can't say this is the problem, and not at all sure my description was entirely clear. Hope something works for you.

I just realized this is not an ECF issue, but rather a Photobucket issue.

Many site administrators will not allow you to reuse previous passwords. This is a good thing.

I don't understand how it's a Photobucket issue, when I am trying to reset my password on ECF, back to what it was before I reset it. I'm using the password ECF sent me in email, and when I try to change it back it tells me that's not my current password, but it is!

Well I wish you'd leave Photobucket out of it then.

Passwords are case sensitive and must be entered exactly as received. Double check your email as well just in case you asked for two resets and you're using the wrong password that was sent to you.

I do know that passwords are case sensitive, and I observed that carefully, to no avail, and excuse me for explaining how this all started. So sorry to have bothered you.

You can't change your password back to your last one before the reset.

Okay, thank you, that makes more sense than the site telling me what I'm putting in is not my current password, when it is. Perhaps it should be just saying you can't reuse that password.

It happened to me a year ago, I thought I was going insane. If I remember correctly, you can change it to a new password once or twice and then change it to the one you really want.

Ah! Thank you so much sir! You are a gentleman and a scholar :)
The problem seems to be that I cannot input the password ECF sent me as the current password without it being rejected, so I cannot change my password now at all.

Hmm… all I can say is, you might try having ECF send you a new password and go from there.
