How do you hold your vape?

I just started to vape, and I haven't seen anyone else vape so I am just figuring it out myself. How do you hold your vape? Are you male or female? Does your sex and how you hold your vape matter, does anyone pay attention to this?

I'm a guy, and when I smoked analog cigarettes I would hold the cigarette between my index and middle finger and lean it up against the thumb when resting. When I brought it up to smoke, I'd curl my fingers over so it's resting on my thumb and top of my middle finger, while my index is holding it from above. With analog cigarettes the balance was diffrent, and I'd hold it closer to the filter.
I don't have a "way" yet with my vape, it's much heavier with a lot more weight near the battery. It's a Volt, so it's about the size of a 100's. So far I tried to keep my fingers away from the holes on the joint between the battery and the cartomizer, but I'm not sure if those are important, because it seems like when you take a drag the air comes through near the LED. This leaves me holding it by the battery.
I actually feel like I want to just hold it by my teeth, but I don't want to damage the cartomizer, or the joint between the cart and the battery. Does anyone else hold it just by their teeth, and have been doing it for a while? have you noticed any issues that may have been caused by this?

Haha, if I tried to hold my pv by my teeth, the drip tip would be all that's left LOL!

I vape on a MonkeyBoxx VV, which is sort of a hefty beast, compared to eGos/riva style battery or even a kr808. I wrap my man hands around my Monkeyboxx and vape until my heart is content
The movkeyboxx looks pretty awesome, is it real wood? If so, have you personalized it in any way?

I use an eGo, so holding in my teeth is too uncomfortable because of the weight. Holding it between my index finger and middle finger like I used to with traditional cigs is also uncomfortable.

Usually I'll wrap my fingers around the battery so that the eGo is in my palm and I can push the button with my thumb. The unfortunate consequence of this method is that it looks like I'm trying to stealth hit something else. When I'm being conscious about that fact, I'll hold it with all four finger tips across the top and use my thumb to press the button.

That way people can see that I'm not doing what they immediately think I'm doing. :p

My Mega eGo I hold like a cigar, either with my index finger wrapping around the battery switch on top and my thumb on the bottom near where the Carto meets the batter, or opposite of that with the battery switch on the bottom being pressed by my thumb and my index finger wrapped around the top. My middle finger is used to stabilize it like a pool cue. My 510s I hold like a cigarette.

I'll hold any on my PVs in my mouth, usually with my teeth. I actually have quite a few bite marks on my Cartos at this point, but haven't noticed any performance hindering effects due to it. I don't hold my PV that way when I'm using an atty/drip tip though, that usually doesn't work out too great.

Standard or XL KR808D-1 auto batteries, no problem holding it in my teeth -- I do that for mowing, playing with power tools.

Bigger batteries, and/or manual, depends on the size. Smaller ones are pretty much thumb on the bottom, other fingers on top. My infinity mod I do thumb and little finger below, other fingers on top.

Whatever's comfortable is what matters.

When I used the little auto batteries when I first started out I would hold it between my thumb and forefinger. The holes where the carto screws into the battery are where the air draws in from so try not to bock them (though if you find the draw too "airy" you can try to block it some on purpose to tighten up the draw). Now, like many here, I use mods and it all depends on shape. There really is no right or wrong way, just find what works best for you and keep on vaping!

I had this EXACT issue. I have teeth marks all over my old cartos! I just figured that was the way I was, then I started using a box mod. The issue for me was that I was using the ecig like an analog- but analogs are light enough so I could hold 'em in my lips, no problem. Ecigs are heavier, so I used my teeth. Once I started with a box mod I realized that I can just hold it up to my face when I puff and all is good. The box shape fits in my hand very nicely and I just like the way it feel all the way around.
I guess it was part of the adjustment. Ecigs aren't on fire, are lightweight, have to be smoked all at once and fit between the fingers. Even though my original ecigs were analog shaped, they just aren't analogs and didn't work well that way. With box mod, no issues, no teeth marks, and I don't feel like I am missing anything on the hand-to-mouth front either.
HTH.

Oh yes, it's definitely real wood ;) You get to choose your body wood and the end cap woods. You also get to choose your catch cup color and get custom laser engraving.

Mine has a Maple body, paduak end caps, red with black stripes catch cup and a red dragon etched on the back :D I'll put pics in my profile later.
