I use mostly boge cartomizers, have a few clearos too. I use a sharpie gold or silver permanent marker to write on the carto. It is not really permanent, it rubs off pretty easily especially with a little plain pg or vg, but if it starts to wear off I just re-write the label. I do use abbreviations so I don't write all over the whole carto! or maybe you could consider it decor...

I like the label maker and the colored band ideas too.

I didn't read every post but I've in the past have used little different colored dot stickers I put one on the bottle the other on my liquid containment system. I keep a flavor notebook and record my juices in it they are color coded also so a quick look is all that's needed to know who what where and why the hell did I buy this flavor! this comes in handy when I making my own juice also.

I have a ton of those blank self adhering return labels on sheets for the printer, (3'X1"), and since I do a lot of mixing in the tank, (12 eVods), I need to be able to keep track of what all is in any particular tank. I write the combination using abbreviations across the short end of the address label and then snip it off, 1/8"x1" and then peal and stick. This way I can change labels many times in a day and it's not too much work to do so. IMG_4960.jpg

The only problem I have now is that I forget what my abbreviations are, (DBL+DGNL)!!!!!

Also, the labels are the same size as the 10ml bottle labels so I can use them to relabel my juices after I mix them in the bottle!

I use the tiny colored rubber bands. Dollar General or Family Dollar sell packs of 500 for $1 (in the kids hair section). I have about 24 different flavors, and sometimes I mix two together. Raspberry, for instance, has a yellow&pink band. If I add chocolate to it, I add a purple band (purple always means chocolate). My husband thinks it's funny that I can "read" the rubber bands as well as I do print. Just the way my mind works, I guess. :)

I was doing that to cartos before I got the silver paint pens.

And I'm guessing here, but DBL must be Dark Brown Liquid, and DGNL has to be Dark GreeN Liquid...
