My addictive personality makes it very hard for me to pace myself when vaping. With analogs, you smoke one ciggy at a time. You see how many you have left in a pack. You budget yourself, although you often think you have smoked too many in a day.

With vaping, I have to remind myself to put it down, else I draw on it till the atty gets hot and the battery blinks.

I'm wondering if I should be vaping so much. I'm trying to slow it down tonight by watching the clock. :|

How do you pace yourself?

I vape a very low nic and do it when I want and where I want and as long as I want. Because the nic is so low, it doesn't buzz me or make me sick. Now if I vaped a higher nic, I could not possibly do it as much as I am.

Yep, I use high/med and do get carried away at times.

When you smoke it, take 15 to 20 drags then put it down and try not to pick it up again for at least 30 minutes.

For some reason with analogs I can do that, however with vaping I am constantly on the stick. My non-smoking friends think I am vaping a lot more than with analogs.

I know what you mean. I just started vaping yesterday, and I find myself holding on to my e-cig for 20 to 30 minutes, vaping the whole time. Then I consciously realize that I've been vaping non-stop and put it down. Analogs have a built-in timer (the length of the ciggy.)

I haven't developed a means of dealing with this phenomenon, yet. It's so damn easy to keep going. I can't tell when I've smoked about a cigarette's worth, so I keep on vaping until I become consciously aware of what I've been doing.

Hopefully someone here has some advice?

The cool thing is this....I have some situations I'm in that I truly cannot vape for a few hours or more, and I don't. BUT when I know I get to go vape, it's not NEAR the freak out that I would have can't wait to go have a ciggy. It's just not as strong, so that is one thing I noticed. Must have been the chemicals in the ciggys I was addicted to that made it more intense.
