I'm the pround new owner of a Woodvil mini that was previously loved. How do you clean a woodvil to remove the old juice smell.
It smells heavy on bacco flavor and I'm an all rootbeer, vanilla , malty kinda of guy. No tobacco's ever.
Man you guys are right about collecting, I can never stop looking at more. This mini sure feels nice in the hand and is lovely to look at, birdseye maple.
I did clean the catch cup w/Mothers and it looks brand new.
Also how do you replace the spring when and if the time comes.
Sorry just couldn't help myself with the OP title:)

Perhaps the title of the thread could have been phrased a bit differently.

I'll defer an answer to the ladies of the forum, they're more experienced in matters such as this.

You may want to get a new feed tube, cap, o-ring and bottle. They will hold onto other flavors. If that doesn't work, then a trip to the spa to have the gasket replaced. I have used everclear in the bottle and filled the catch cup to the brim and let it sit overnight. Helped some. You can use an empty 15/30ml juice bottle for the booze. Then you can apply it in drops (bottle filled, then fille the ube and catch cup). But new tube etc, worked much better. Good Luck!

After doing all the cleaning possible and replacement of some parts, mentioned here, and more to come, you can place the REO in a tightly closed container of coarsely ground coffee to help pull the odors out of the wood. I've used just about every substance known to "wo/mankind" to pull odors out of just about every material possible, over the years. Coffee is one of the best for pulling odors out when liquids cannot be used. It may take only overnight, to days, to weeks, to even months but most likely only a week or so.

BTW... I love anything coffee for consuming but I cannot stand vaping coffee flavors; even a hint of. The coffee grounds treatment will not leave any lingering coffee odor to Woodvil.

Oh, forgot. The spring is soldered in with just a spot of solder in the WOOD REOs. If you do need to replace and can do very simple soldering or have someone who can, you can purchase new springs from REO. Otherwise you can send it in for replacement. With the metal REOs it's only a simple taking out screw and replacing spring; purchased from REO.

Okay............. I know WOOD, SCREW, Service

Thanks Alice, That's exactly the extra little trick I was looking for. I replaced all the plastic parts on the used Grande I have and it solved the problem almost immediately. But the wood has locked in as well so I'll try this. Thanks you guys.
The solder I didn't know about but see it now. No problems there I'm well equipped:) Mothers on the brass also makes it shine like new.
