I was at work today discussing with a buddy what new vape gear I just ordered and told him I spent $85 on new clearos. This person used vaping to get off analogs as well but then also stopped vaping all together. He stuck with one device, clearo and juice his whole time and knocked me for spending the amount I do on vaping. My thought process is that I am going to find the right combo or gear and juice to keep me off analogs regardless of price. Mind you I am not buying jewel studded or precious metal devices and or tanks.

Do you just stick to one device or are you searching for THE ONE?

I'm still trying to find my way in vaping. Some days it's great for me. Some days, like today........nothing feels right for me. Not any flavors, not my equipment. BUT...I'm still not smoking. I'll just write today off as a bad day and hope it all comes together better for me tomorrow.

Don't let someone else's judgements make you feel bad for how you choose to spend your money on vaping. If it's working for you...then it's working!

Everyone is different and there are lots of different vaping paths. My gear has been pretty simple. I started with eGo-t upgraded batteries and Kanger MT3S clearos and a couple of menthol juice mixes. What has changed over the past 4 months is that I have added Vision Spinner VV batteries to my gear, but am still using MT3S'. What has really changes is that because of folks here suggesting that I be open to non-tobacco, non-menthol flavors (because I don't smoke anymore, so why should I be tied to vaping only flavors that I smoked), I've added a number of different flavors like kiwi, mango, chocolate chip mint ice cream, watermelon and peach. I'm grateful that folks suggested keeping an open mind.

Who knows, I may get the bug to upgrade my gear again, but for now I feel very satisfied with my vape. Again, everyone is different and the industry is changing quickly, so the idea of wanting to try and get different gear can be very appealing.

Namaste.

Neither. I think I will always have and use multiple devices. Does a chef have only one pot to cook in? For one thing, I like to change up flavors constantly. That means I have an absolute minimum of 2 devices going at all times (even when I'm out an about). But at home, or at my desk at work, it's typically 3 or 4, sometimes more. I also like to try different devices. There are many that I was enamored with when I first got them that lost their luster after some use. Those tend to become backups. Because I don't have any budget constraints, it actually took me a while to learn not to buy two of each item from the get-go; to try just one of something first to see if I actually like it before buying a second one. :D

I think I haven't smoked for the same amount as you. I smoked a lot. I am doing great. It works great. All my equipment works great.

I am completely blown away that you have bad days and hope for a better tomorrow. All my days are good. Why would I want to smoke a cig? But you have bad days. But you didn't mention that you then smoked a real cigarette.

If nothing worked for me right now, I would be in the panic mode. I can't wait until tomorrow. In my mind, you don't need cigarettes anymore. How cool is that?

The best part about quitting with vaping is there are no rules. You get to decide how this plays out. You can stick with basic gear if it works for you. Or go completely nutz and break the bank buying shinys. The same applies to what you do with that gear. You can just... stop smoking. After that it's entirely up to you. Some people get on a "monkey on my back, gotta quit the nic" crusade the day they start vaping. And want to quit vaping ASAP too. But pushing that issue too hard, too fast can often backfire. You can always quit vaping too - and come back to it if that doesn't work out so well. At least this time around you have a better option than returning to smoking.

Personally? After finally and successfully quitting a 30 year smoking habit I'm not dwelling on when I'm going to quit vaping. I have blown more money on hardware than I ever needed to. But I'm not blowing more money on vaping than I used to on smoking either. Very much so: To each his own here.

Egos, evod tanks, pro tank 2 minis, and a vivi nova. I've destroyed all 4 evods. I loved them, but I melted the glue washing them on scolding hot water pt2 minis are good.
I always carried around both egos with different flavors in the tanks. The Vivi stays home on the desk with something minty because I love it! One of my pts rotates coffee flavors. The other rotates tobacco flavors. I just picked up some fruity flavors and am excited to work those into rotation, but now I need another tank.. Lol
No bad days for me as far as vaping, but sorry you are having them. I quit regular cigarettes using blu around August 2011. I quit using blu after 3 months of use. I weened off because blu was a pain with all the switching batteries. Living situation changed, moved in with smokers and wanted a cigarette SO BAD! Looked for something better than blu and found it. That was Aug 2013... I could quit, but decided I like this hobby, plus in tx I'm around smokers all over, so it's harder to forget about smoking and not want one if I wasn't vaping. Vamping I get my nic fix, and have lost weight as a result! (I don't snack as much.. I think it may be satisfying some oral fixation..) wife is ok with it, better than tobacco, but doesn't like the money I spend on it... (Spent 200 this week for first mod and juice... Thinking about some new tanks to...... Lol) this isn't usual of course... The last 6 months I've bought 2 egos, 2 pts, 4 evods, 1 vivi, and probably 150 in juice.

Long story short, everyone's journey in life (and vaping) is different. Do what you must, the rest is for what you love. I love vaping (among other things), so I don't mind spending the money on it occasionally.

im good now. started with a 650mah ego with a star dust style clearo, went to a 900mah ego twiste with carto tanks and protanks, now im using a sentinel m16 clone with a trident dripper running at .7 ohms. For me im happy with mechs and drippers. Was going to buy another mech better figured there is no point, this point is awesome.

Not so much searching the one as have a perfect match up Cerberus and Atomic / Trident v2 but since like to switch juices and style of Vape, I've got another 5 drippers set up at different ohm's some flat/round twisted Kanthal and then for the long run if spending a day out the KFL+ / AGA-TD tanks but prefer dripping also in collection The Vengeance nem like mod and UDT-v9 so as can have 2-3 juices in rotation but I'll keep adding as has become a hobby and like nice new shinny things.

I don't remember when exactly I started, I think my sig will have the timeline for that. But I started out with blu's and hated them, moved to egos, then to mods & rba's. After many devices I found that mechanical mods and genesis style rba's are my favorite. I have tried many other ways, including the Kayfun style's but I always go back to a genesis. My only VV/VW mod is a VTR + a aero tank. I am a manager at a vape shop now so I try so many different things it isn't funny. But I try to limit myself to how many expensive mods/tanks I have. Right now the only "High end" things I have is my VHO Titan (which was a gift) and my Ihybrid Pure. I will be ordering either a ZNA or a Zen 2 in a couple of weeks. As for juice I have a few that I really like, right now I am stuck on Oak Barrel Cider from epipe mods. I have so many different liquids I can't vape all of them at once.
But I always say the best device is the device that works for you. I love genesis rba's and I can't tell you how many people I know that hate them. Just use what makes you happy and keeps you of the real things.
