I was at work today discussing with a buddy what new vape gear I just ordered and told him I spent $85 on new clearos. This person used vaping to get off analogs as well but then also stopped vaping all together. He stuck with one device, clearo and juice his whole time and knocked me for spending the amount I do on vaping. My thought process is that I am going to find the right combo or gear and juice to keep me off analogs regardless of price. Mind you I am not buying jewel studded or precious metal devices and or tanks.

Do you just stick to one device or are you searching for THE ONE?

Neither. I think I will always have and use multiple devices. Does a chef have only one pot to cook in? For one thing, I like to change up flavors constantly. That means I have an absolute minimum of 2 devices going at all times (even when I'm out an about). But at home, or at my desk at work, it's typically 3 or 4, sometimes more. I also like to try different devices. There are many that I was enamored with when I first got them that lost their luster after some use. Those tend to become backups. Because I don't have any budget constraints, it actually took me a while to learn not to buy two of each item from the get-go; to try just one of something first to see if I actually like it before buying a second one. :D

When I'm not at home, there are usually two devices with me, that rotate pretty constantly. At home, the collection continues to grow, not because of any sort of dissatisfaction with what I have, but because I really do enjoy experimenting.

I use the mvp2, and switch between toppers with different flavors throughout the day-yup, I get duds sometimes, but move on-I personally don't want an exclusive adv juice because I like trying out new juices and there are so many-I stick in my flavor profiles to play it relatively safe.

I'm the same and also have the same device. I started out with an ego-c twist

How do I vape? Well, I started to cut back/possibly eliminate cigarettes. Tried gas station disposables, then moved on to ego spinner/twist type batteries/clearo combination. Never needed/desired cigarettes since. I've got it in my head that I'd like to reduce my dependence on nicotine (just like cutting back on my coffee/soda intake--less is better for my personal health needs). Will I ever put down the vape? Probably not. I find it a really fun hobby and a healthier alternative for my nic fix. And I've been bit by the "Shiny"-itis--no going back now, lol!

As far as money spent, as long as all other wants, needs, and desires of the household are meant (i.e. bills are paid, kids are fed and happy, retirement account is funded), what one spends on vaping ($0 to $$$$$$) doesn't matter to me. Vape a lot, vape a little, vape till you "quit" or keep on going because you like/need/want it. Whatever floats yer boat, whether it's one basic device or 100s of high end gadgetry.

Good post and a wise one. I am the queen of rationalization about stuff like this. If I have a thought that I might be spending "too much", I can immediately think of all the things I do not spend money on, that a lot of my friends and family do.

I never get manicures and do my own nails.Check. We seldom eat out, I cook a lot. Check. I drive a car that still runs well but is 10 years old. Check.

See, it's easy when you know how to do it.:)

I started out on an ego starter kit and clearo' s. From there, I moved to tanks with bottom coil atty' s and found I enjoyed the flavor hit more from the juices. I'm currently vaping on a mod and I'm testing out unpunched carto's to get a feel for them. If it turns out well, I'll add carto tanks to my collection. I'm also planning to add a provari to said collection very soon as I've heard good things about it.

Basically, it's all about YOUR preference and YOUR journey. Everyone doesn't approach vaping the same. With that said, "that person" should be more supportive because the ultimate goal is to quit analogs for good. Besides, it's your money so you can spend it how you choose. And that's just mho.
