My work actually has ecigarettes listed with tobacco products as not allowed on property. The definition of an ecigarettes is pretty ambiguous so I am sure if I fought it I would lose and they would just update the handbook again to ban me. It's fine, as we cross the street and never say a word. My boss doesn't care and is happy I am off the cigs and when it's balls cold out we vap in the lower level of the garage and no one says .....

Kanger mpt2, Aspire nautilus, burn with iTaste MVP2 and some Evod vv's. I prefer darker heavy flavors.
Hey someone else from KC! I vape and rebuild and am on here all the time while I'm at work.

I work in a laboratory in a high rise in the financial district in Manhattan. I vape whenever and no one cares. Although I am certain my boss who is not often here knows this as I am sure he has seen my provari or MVP2 laying around, but has not asked, "Whats that?". I do not vape in front of him out of respect and keeping the atmosphere professional. Otherwise, I vape. And since I am here 12 hours a day. Its great to not have to go outside in the bitter cold a few times a day. And I get more work done. We even have an employee who is allergic to EVERYTHING. So they wear a mask most of the day in the lab even when doing things that most wouldn't wear a mask for, if any. Yet the sweet semll of vapor has not bothered them. I also share the facts and misinformation with my coworkers. And sometimes someone walks in smelling Johnsons Creek 100% VG Vanda flavor and says, "I smell cinnamon rolls or something it smells good, where are the cinnamon rolls?"

There are designated smoking areas at work. At my particular workstation, the smoking policy is, however, set by the senior man on shift, because we are somewhat trapped for the duration of our shift. Therefore it's vape city when I'm on!

Big pharma would be wise to learn about vaping and why it's working better than their solutions. Maybe they will watch you and learn ;)

Oh, they know, and I think they're scared about the loss of revenue - every time I vape, that's another piece of nicotine gum that I didn't buy from them...

I'm active duty and the policy treats it as stinkies. Go to a designated area. The officers that I work with in my building are thrilled that I gave up analogs and are aware of the differences. None of them smoke/vape and wouldn't care if I vaped at my desk but since we're in the service and a policy says no...

That being said, when I'm standing 24 hr duty (stay on base) and everyone is gone for the day, I vape like a freight train at my desk and all over the building.

Thanks for your service! If I may ask, what branch? Air Force Vet here.

I work in an office. I got away with vaping in the break room for years and no one ever cared. I always tried to keep it out of sight and asked any coworkers who were sharing the break room if they minded. Recently my boss has decided "it's the same as smoking" and makes me go sit in my car. There is still no mention of it in the writer smoking policy but there isn't much I can do. The attitude among management is simply that we must do what we are told. It really sucks when it rains because the parking area is a bit of a walk and the only smoking area is even farther away and doesn't have any kind if shelter.

I'm a plant designer and just started at a new company about a month ago (when I started vaping). My boss actually walked up on me the other day as I was blowing out a huge cloud. He didn't say anything so I'm assuming he knows what it is and is ok with it. A few people have asked about it and I haven't had any misinformed people causing a fuss over it. I think they figure it's better than leaving my desk every couple hours to go smoke.

My boss is totally cool with it.

I'm a systems administrator at a call center (NOT telemarketers or bill collectors) and have my own office, which helps. I can sit and vape all day and he doesn't care. He's walked in more than once and seen me puffing away.

I'm not allowed to use it out on the floor where all of the normal employees work, mostly to keep from offending the smokers (They think it's unfair that I can vape in the office and they have to go out in the cold to smoke), but in my office or the server room, I puff like a mad man.

I couldn't do more than 6 years myself, although I will admit to missing life on a ship once in a while.

My place of employment does not have a view on the subject. I was one of the first people to vape in my plant, and now I've converted 30+ people to vaping in my work alone. They do not care as long as you don't take time away from working to just sit and vape, and as long as you don't blow it in people's face who do not appreciate all the clouds, so blow them upwards.
I work for catnapper, so we make sofa's and don't deal with the public, we are in a warehouse. So I think that may make the difference here...

My boss (chief of police) loves it. Hes just glad there's fewer cig butts on the ground and we're not smoking in our brand new 2013 Chargers. Hes a stress smoker and dipper, and is thinking about getting one! I've already converted 5 people so far!

Not a lifer. The civilian side hasn't presented something that works for me yet until recently. If it pans out, I'm out this summer. Having a family makes getting out a bit tough.

Some Pharma companies very much care about NRT and "nicotinics", but thankfully mine does not. We focus on HIV and Cancer. (with a dash of arthritis and hepatitis), so I don't really feel too conflicted working here as far as the vaping goes. :)

I retired before vaping came around, but I owned the place, and you could smoke where/when I said you could smoke. My rules applied, and you followed them or you were gone.

You could smoke/vape in here all you wanted

but if you tried it in here, you would be looking for a new job. No food, drinks, or smokes in the clean rooms.

My husband and a coworker vape inside their place of employment. The coworker is no longer allowed to vape in his work area that's adjacent to my husband's. His coworker, who is a smoker and has no intentions of ever quitting, is jealous that the person he works with can get his nic fix in their work area while he has to clock out and not get paid for smoke breaks. So he lied to the owner and complained that the vape makes his eyes burn. The owner told the other guy he can't vape in that area anymore. Douche move on the coworker's part, imo. He just goes into my husband's work area now to get a nic fix lol.
