Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
I think the government is allowing the corporations to become FAR too intrusive into our personal lives. It's getting absurd.

Background checks where every stupid thing you ever did during a tough period in your life shows up and can prevent you from getting another job, credit checks, drug tests (yeah, I get that they don't want high people working when they're there, but they shouldn't be able to dictate what you do on your own time), nicotine tests.....

What's next, genetic coding? Cameras in your homes to see if you wash your hands after using the restroom every time? Checking to see if you're wearing the correct color of underwear or any at all? Wanting to know if you're a crusher or a folder?

Government is allowing it?

I am pretty sure it's a coordinated effort by the the government and these companies in the name of "protecting us from terrorism". I think I trust our government even less than the corporations!

I respect the right of all women to not wear underwear! I will stand and defend that right with any of them that ask for my help.

They should establish a Big Brother college curriculum.

In the future there will be great opportunity for people skilled in the following areas...
--Identifying those who do not recycle properly
--Identifying those who do not keep tire pressures maintained properly on all four tires
--Developing an algorithm to identify those who do not always have their thermostats set properly
--Identifying those who shower longer or more often than the optimum established guidelines for water conservation
--Developing methods to prevent cell phones and smart phones from operating when the engine is running
--Monitoring and tracking participation in high risk activities like rock climbing, motorcycle riding, skateboarding, and walking outside

Also, we can look forward to the transformation of Neighborhood Watch programs...
--Allowing Neighborhood Watch Deputies to ticket children not wearing bicycle helmets
--Allowing Neighborhood Watch Deputies to ticket people attempting to perform maintenance activities involving ladders
--Allowing Neighborhood Watch Deputies to ticket people watering their gardens during daylight hours
--Allowing Neighborhood Watch Deputies to ticket people attempting to BBQ outside of their Air-Filtered BBQ Enclosures

These are all things that will keep the population much safer and happier, and provide for the general well-being of all peoples.
But most importantly, these types of actions will help keep to a minimum the governmental costs of caring for the citizens.

I accidentally hit my PV in the credit union today. I just wasn't thinking.

As soon as I realized I was completely embarrassed and I couldn't remember if the teller was at the window or not or if she'd already gone to consult with her superior about the check I was depositing.

I just didn't even THINK before I did it. GAH!

I've done this before

the one that bugs me is,,,,,,,,,,

at my husband's work, they now do hair follicle tests for drug use,,,,,,,

those go back like 10+ years.

Serioiusly?? You're going to hold someone guilty for something stupid they did at 18????

We are personally not affected,,,,,,my husband hasn't had so much as a legal cigarette in his LIFE,,,,,,,,,but he's lost some good employees because they did something stupid in their youth that they haven't touched since.

stupid, stupid, stupid.

Like I always say, vape in the bathroom.

My best friend at work is blind. He walks into the bathroom and knows exactly when I'm in there by the scent, ha. One of my tobacco diy to him smells like cooking meat which I still find odd lol.

So when I go to stealth in there I tell him I'm going to have some meat.

Nobody else really notices it or says anything. Remember how people with blindness sometimes there other senses are heightened.

10+ years? They can only test what is in the hair that is currently on your head, so I'd say more like 1-2 years. How do I know? Failed one due to lysergic popping up on the results. Got a haircut and came back for a retest and passed.

Don't feel too bad... I started work at a place where the smoke area (vapers included) is literally 1/4 mile from the offices. 1/2 mile round trip to vape for 10 min. Ridiculous.

Yet, they probably let ppl chew tobacco and spit into a cup and gross out there co-worker with. Snus good stuff, no spitting.

Well at the rate we're going with "privacy", who's to say that they won't be able to legally put cameras in the bathroom and watch you do your business in 5 or 10 years?

Creepy, and disgusting to think about - but seriously - are we really that far away at the rate we're going as a society? The NSA would probably love to be able to have that kind of access to "privacy."

(Ironically very entertaining o_O)
