I started vaping 7 weeks ago because the vapers have been quickly taking over the smoking areas outside my office. I talked to one of the guys I always saw in the smoking area who had switched to an e-cigg and he recommended a vape store nearby.

I went into the store wanting to spend more for a beefier setup, but the guy suggested that since I was a new user, I start with an ego twist starter kit and if I wanted something more expensive, I could use that as a spare. So I used the twist for a few days, but by the end of the week I went back to the store and asked for something bigger. I like the twist and still use it today at the office, but it takes forever to charge and I hate not being able to use it while it was charging. So he set me up with a SID. I was pretty happy with my SID, but I was curious about the other mods I keep seeing mentioned in the forums, so a few weeks later I ordered a SVD as I was getting some tanks and coils from fasttech. And then I read a lot of good things about the MVP 2 so I figured why not. :)

At this point, I might pop for something more high tech and eVic-ish in the future, but I don't see myself going into mechanicals or rebuilding much of anything. I'm very lazy by nature and I enjoy the convenience of the variable mods.

Not unlike many others, smoked for 30+ years. I knew that when I researched E-cigs that when I started there had to be something that could be rebuilt as soon as I started vaping. Got a put together kit from a B&M and vaped that for a few days, quit cigarettes and pretty much never looked back. I'd say within a week of starting I was rebuilding Kanger coil heads. I still bring evods to work, but usually have a dripper with me and use mostly mechanicals at home.
