Started with a Blu on July 1, 2013 to see if I could make the transition to digitals - being a PAD smoker for 44 years. (haven't had an analog since the moment I got that first Blu battery off the charger, BTW). Bought a JC Vea 3 days later 'cause the Blu batteries just couldn't cut it. Stepped up slightly to an EVOD starter kit early Sept and immediately started with rebuilding coils and re-wicking. Bought a Provari kit with PTII early in October for home use and soon after discovered cotton and microcoils. Two weeks ago a Nemesis and RSST to try a genesis with SS mesh wicks (best flavor so far) and a short-lived experiment with sub-ohm (I will revisit that later. Awaiting a KFL+ tomrrow and looking for my next mechanical purchase along with a dripper. I still use the VEA out-and-about because it easily fits in the pocket and I don't have to worry about leaks. If I had to do it all over again, I would have skipped the Blu thing - everything else has been great! Biggest tip I can give is do your research with due diligence!!

I started with disposable blu ecigs from the gas station and used that for about 4 days before getting a blu starter kit which I used for users couple days. At that point I realized the cigarette look spikes just didnt produce the amount of vapor I wanted and went to my local vape shop to buy a kit of ego-c twists with some clearomizers. Id say I used those for 2 weeks before buying my first VV/VW mod, the Tesla. Within a week bought my first mechanical mod, the natural by smoktech but did not use it for quite a while for lack of comfort with my knowledge of using a device that was unregulated and took my time doing my research before using it. Iv made many purchases since then as there are so many different options and fun devices.

Hi congrats on your switch, I started out with a v2 ciz kit and wasn't quite satisfied, bought an ego and a Kanger T3 and was able to quit the analogs, every month I bought something new have a zmax, a Seigelei 13, 1 Atmizoo Roller and everything from a 3 vivi's, a Zen atty u, Russian 91% and a Kayfun Lite and a few in between if I had done more research I probably wouldn't have bought the three Genisis attys some are for lung hitters and some for mouth hitters, probably sell the Zen.

hi.
new member. 22 year pack a day.
I started out with a halo G6 kit with pre filled cartos with a sampler pack about 6 months ago. it was ok, but didn't do it for me. went back to HALO and got the little clearomizers for the G6. it helped but still didn't get me off the cigs. finally went to eBay a couple weeks ago and got a cheap ego kit, 1100mah. I used the juice from my halo sampler, and wow! what a difference. I was able to kick the analogs a few days later.
knowing that I needed to get more serious about my devices, I got an iTaste MVP a week ago. love it! I added a kanger EVOD and it really like that tank over the top wick clearomizer.
just went back and ordered a sigelei zmax 3. should be here in a couple days. I've gone from a simple ego to two mods in about 2 weeks.
I also just ordered an IGO L to try out dripping.
I'm hooked!!

thanks to pbusardo and grimmgreen as well as indoorsmokers for your great review videos. after years of failed attempts to quit smoking, I know I finally did it.

After nine months I went from $50 setups with ego batt's and vivi tanks to $500 setups with mechanical mods sub ohm coils and drip atty's.

Vape on my friend

would be faster if there was a vape shop anywhere around where I travel.. Regional truck driver, so online orders have to wait until I get home every couple weeks. Bought el cheapo claytons, (cig look alike) but batteries didn't last long and took forever to charge, so end of that week got 2 ego clones, in the last two weeks, gotten several different clearomizer types, and 2 more batteries (one variable).. need to get tanks, cartomizers with tanks, and a pancake globe for trying out flavors.

I started vaping a month or two ago. Started with a Halo Triton kit, some juices (Halo) and a Halo Twist just to see if it was something i could get into (with the objective being to cut my cigarette intake down, my consumption level at the time of that purchase was between 0.5 to 1 pack a day).

Almost immediately i found that i did like vaping and when i was vaping i was not thinking about smoking. I decided to order some Alice in Vapeland juices and they only helped improve my overall experience (since the flavors were quite different than the ones i initially got from Halo). Since i started vaping, my cigarette consumption has dropped into the range of about 1-5 smokes per day without really any conscious effort to quit, only really by decreasing my craving to light up.

Fast forward to today and i'm planning on getting deeper in the vaping universe. I live and work in Thailand and do not have convenient access to all the supplies, and since ive had some issues importing vape hardware/software i'm making a big order for when i go back home this Christmas. i'm going to go for a provari mini, various juices, a few different types of tanks, RDA, attys, etc. (basically a 6 month stash that includes several vape-ideas i've read about which i want to try in an effort to enhance my experience).

I may find out in the end that there is not much else to gain by getting better gear, or i may find out that the experience can be even better, i'm not sure but i want to find out. Does vapor from a 50 dollar Halo Triton offer the same experience from a provari w/protank? to answer this question i going to need to experiment a bit. Everything i've tried to this point seems better and better so i can't stop now.

How fast did my vaping devices advance? REALLY SLOW!! I had to wait til stuff got invented! :)

I envy the new people nowadays because there are a lot of good options out there and with a little research you can eliminate 90% of the headaches I had getting started.

Good Luck and Happy Vaping!

This.

And I didnt have to wait as long has a 2009er!
When I joined...a plain old 510 battery was the .... and tea bagging your cap was the thing to do.
a plain ego was the next big "step"

Cigalike 3 weeks
Variable Voltage Ego EVOD 4 months
Kamry K100 Mech 1 month
Kamry K100 Mech AVO pyrex tank 3 months

Now I'm waiting for vape mail! EHPro EA mech should be here by Saturday and looking into the Aspire BCC or maybe a Russian, Kayfun or a rebuildable tank system with 1.2 ohm dual coils and cotton?

Who am I kidding? I'll get the Aspire BCC pyrex tank AND a rebuildable tank system eventually. I prefer mechs for durability (I drop everything) and would like a rebuildable tank running 28 guage dual coils and cotton because the closest vape shop is 100 miles away! After almost 8 months, I've tapered off but am always looking for a great atomizer, clearomizer, rebuildable tank...

The most exotic thing I bought as a smoking gadget was a zippo--my wife don't understand my gizmo but at least I don't smell, it is less expensive than cigs, I am healthier and no need to run to the store for packs....as Charlie Sheen would say, winning!

Welcome!

I started with BLU 2 years ago. Would occasionally use it when I couldn't smoke. Then decided on the Halo Triton Kit 2months ago. It was okay, but I realized there was so much more out there and discovered this site. 2 weeks after my Triton I got my Provari. So once I got serious so did my vaping equipment lol!

No more analogs! Yayyy! :D

Hello. I started on a basic tesco led at the end cigarette lookalike and it was rubbish. Then up graded to an ego. My current set up is a Ego VV twist 2100 mah battery and a 2.8ml Vivi Nova tank. Loving it. But then browsing the Internet I found a new love which is the Joyetech EMode. It's brand new. No reviews for it but it look exceptional. I've been smoke free now for eleven months and it's easily the best thing I've ever done. I normally before I buy anything read reviews and watch video reviews on YouTube from Scott at igetcha69 or PBustardo. They are vaping ninjas.

Smoke free and loving life...... And the fatter wallet.
