I've always imagined it something like Si-gar-ree.
The answer is that it's not cost effective. Not many VV mods, if any, are cloned. China is looking to profit from mass production. There isn't a market for VV clones.

According to Provape, most of the internals are made here in the US except for some components on the board that can't be sourced here. The circuit board itself is made in the US.

The Russian designed and engineered Semovar uses an off-the-shelf Russian designed and engineered Nivel chip, do they not?

The other day I took my ProVari up to about 15 watts..
Didn't like it, turned it back down to my usual 6.5 watts range...
