I'm a new e-smoker (vaper) – and did I have a hell of a time finding a product that actually works! I am announcing today that I have finally found a product that is not only comparable to an "analog" (traditional) cigarette - but an e-cig that could potentially surpass the experience of smoking traditional analogs. As a smoker for 25+ years (pack to pack 1/2 a day of Parliament Lights) - I knew I had to stop but wasn't able to even though I tried all of the "FDA approved" techniques and products -- from patches, to gum, to inhalers - and then from hypnosis - I don't think the FDA or the medical establishment as a whole understands the problem (if in fact it is a problem) -- and I feel that they have attempted to address the symptoms but not the challenge itself: that smoking is very enjoyable!

#1: Vapcig: My first venture into the e-cig arena; first purchase was $50 - two batteries, 5 cartridges and 2 atomizers - the VC14 is a three piece system - after using this for a week I was down to half pack a day of analog - very impressive but, not quite the "experience". I don't recommend this product to anyone because I found better. Cartridges didn't last very long and "dripping" (recharging with e-juice) is very sloppy resulting in juiced mouth syndrome more frequently than not. I found, however, that by dripping the atomizer directly produced the best results. But, you'll find you'll have to carry a bottle of juice around with you all day long in order to achieve any degree of consistency.

#2: Neverlightagain (NLA): Wandered into a local smoke shop and thought I'd try out a new version of the e-cig - my first excursion into 2pc (battery + cartomizer) kit. For around $20 for a battery with 10ml of e-juice, thought I had a bargain. My first impression was WOW! I loved it - it hit like an analog. It was so good, I recommended it to friends. BUT, after about a week, I began to notice the battery wouldn't last more than 20-30 puffs!? So, I bought another kit ($20) to try to keep bats in rotation, and a car charger ($15) and finally gave up after the second battery totatally died after the third day. A friend purchased a starter from the NLA web site and what was delivered was a poor quality DOA e-cig. I knew there had to be better so, I didn't give up on my quest for finding the right e-cig. Notwithstanding, I issue the following warning: buyer beware: NLA product is low grade, unreliable and highly disposable.

#3: KR808D-1: Convinced that the 2pc tech was for me - I turned my search to the internet. After hours upon hours of scouring on-line material, youtube, blogs, forums, I was convinced that the KR808D-1 battery/carto combo was the best - understand, that when I mean best I mean the most "cigarette-like", a stick with the same look and feel. With product support, distribution, and compatibility across multiple vendors, my confidence in uninterrupted supply was earned. I purchased a kit from MyVaporStore.com, premium KR808D-1 soft cap blanks from LiteCigUsa.net, and some sample cartomizers from Vapor4Life.com. $120 later, I became tobacco free. Outstanding product!

#4: BloogPlanet: Finally, I awaited the arrival of the latest, state of the art technology from BloogPlanet.com. Having become acquainted with Leaford and his reviews during my "research" period, I learned to trust his opinion. The MaxX Fusion line is simply awesome and I can no safely say that I will remain tobacco free for life yet I will still enjoy the pleasure of "smoking" without any of the ill side-effects. So, I now buy batteries and blanks from Bloogplanet.com, juice from Vapor4Life.com (they have some terrific flavors, their WOWVapor line is outstanding) and -- they're made in the USA as far as I can tell. Don't purchase your batteries from V4L though, they’ve had a number of manufacturing inconsistencies that they claim will be corrected in the future – but, until then, best to avoid the frustration altogether.

For the period from October 18, 2010 to December 19, 2010, I have spent to date $513.97 on e-cig products whereas I would have spent $409.50 on analogs, so, no immediate return on investment. I'm hoping that for those trying to quit, save your money, buy from BloogPlanet - and you'll be able to see an almost immediate ROI without having to waste money on substandard product. Now 33 days, 5 hours tobacco free - I breathe easier and notice a huge increase in lung capacity. My smokers cough is gone and my throat feels better - give it a try - this is a life-saving miracle.

Congratulations and welcome! I, too, wanted & still want the cigarette look. I like the feel of it. I use a battery with a cartomizer, and am very happy with it. I just started refilling my cartos, and that will wind up saving $$. I have not yet recouped, and maybe will not if I keep buying these toys!!! But I feel MUCH better, and that is worth more than money.
Good luck & thanks for posting.

Congratulations on kicking tobacco.
Welcome to ECF Forum,

Paula

Never thought I would be able to kick the habit, now I find that I don't have too! I really, really appreciate the outpouring of support from forums and on-liners alike -- this is so much better than the AA group meeting approach!

Wow juices are made in china. V4l juices are dekang. I think the wow are dekang too with vg added. Not sure but that's how it seems. I know they're made in china though. In fact last I heard leaford was living in china for quality control.

Drats. I like their flavors! I haven't seen a juice from an American made company yet that I liked -- and, from what I can tell, quality assurance isn't the #1 priority from the USA e-liquid companies I have ordered from with the exception of Halo. I don't really get their juice, just not my cup of tea I guess.

that new bloog pcc is gorgeous, it looks like an iphone or something.

Yeah, and it has two led displays to show how many "bars" your batt is charged at -- kindof like an iphone...! But, from what I gather - it only works with shorty batts now. I hear rumor that they intend to build one for the standard (280maH) batts -- but, don't hold your breath (at least not for too long)!

Yep! Made in china. Maybe soon USA.

What is a GLV? I still a noob at this and learning the new additions to the English language (along with the slang) - is a bit overwhelming. Analog? Atty? M401, KR808D-1, 510 - I mean, whew! Sensory overload! ;-)
Great Lakes Vaper.

They usually cost a little more but they ARE here.
