I had no real intention of quitting (1 1/2 PAD smoker, for over 40 years), but I agreed to try vaping out and see what happened.
Got my stuff Wednesday night. Lit up and squashed out my last cigarette Monday night. I still feel like I "really" have never quit. Too easy to make the switch. Smoke, throat hit, and yummy juices make it so enjoyable! My husband got his own magic wand (LOL) and is vaping 0 nicotine delicious Amaretto along with me.

Penny where did you get the Amaretto juice? I had Amaretto in some cocoa the other night and thought it would be great to vape it. Haven't seen it at any of the vendors I've been to.

I had tried to quit with a Blu cig, but as all of you know, those are terrible and no substitute for smoking. A few months later I tried a girls PV and was blown away at the difference. Got 2 packs on a Friday night and the day after decided to get a setup of my own. After two days vaping I tried an analog one morning, hit it three times and threw it out because it tasted so horrible. A week later, half of that first pack remains and I'm just going to give the other pack away. I'm 31 and have been smoking since I was 15. I thought there was no possible way for me to kick the habit without something extreme like forced medication or hypnotherapy. I'm fully confident I will never touch a Cigarette again. So happy I found vaping.

I went from 25 to 2 in one day hitting a Blu ecig. That lasted one expensive week at $10 a day.

Finally went to 0 after that week. Halo triton and Tribeca helped for a few weeks then went with a provari and a Vamo (gotta have 2) and pro tanks.

Make my own coils and juice and am happy. Turned something nasty into a great hobby.

Win/win here!

My eCom showed up in the mail and I put my smokes in a desk drawer at work and vapid for two weeks straight. Then my coil went dead at work and I didn't have any spares. I fired up one out of the desk drawer and it made me sick to my stomach. The only thing that sucks is when you run out of stuff you can't exactly go down to the 7-11 and restock. I didn't expect to quit the smokes so quickly and didn't order nearly enough vaping supplies to start.

I'm still in shock. Smoked my last cigarette on the way to a local B&M a good friend who had started vaping about a month earlier took me to. Haven't had a smoke since. I'm still astounded that I've made it this far especially given all the previous failed attempts at quitting I had experienced. Utter disbelief may better describe how I still feel on occasion. The hobby aspect of vaping has really seemed to help a lot.

Shocked ?

I had no intention to quit smoking - I loved smoking and had smoked for over 40 years...I just bought a kit 'cause I like gadgets.
First couple of days playing with it I decided it just tasted better than my cigarettes...and never bought any more.

and now look !
<--------------

Congratulations to you !

For a lot of us (most) the smoking experience turns on you really fast when you start vaping. We don't know why, but a lot of people find smoking goes gross in short order. For people lucky like that smoking a cigarette actually turns out of be it's own worst negative reinforcement. If you are one of us in this respect it won't take long - you will know within the first week of vaping.
well SHEEEEEEET. you are so right on point. i got my starter setup today, and i knew it IN THE FIRST HOUR! lol. which is very odd because,
- 1. When i stopped smoking analogs for three days & went right back afterwards, i had no gross taste at all.
and
-2. this starter kit i got (V2Cig) is not good, it's a very hard draw, and the vape is real dry. not real pleasant. The two flavors i got don't taste good at all (one tobacco and one mint), it has a weird chemical-ish kinda aftertaste, and even the 0 nicotine one gives me a kind of foggy headachey feeling... so tomorrow i'm going to my local B&M, will probly try an eRoll instead. so, after a mere 2-3 hours, i decided i was gonna have an analog. AND IT TASTED LIKE SHYTE! Already! even though i didn't like the e-juice flavors i have.

so tomorrow i'll go get myself a better setup and some much tastier juices and see where that gets me.

Me too, it's really odd actually...I still can't believe I don't smoke cigarettes anymore.

I only smoked cigarettes for two years (up until 16 days ago) but my entire family have always been smokers, and my Mom smokes 2 packs/day. I knew I would have a predisposition to get addicted when I started - and, just like I thought, I quickly climbed to a pack/day, and was at 1.5 packs/day when I switched to vaping.

But, I hit a cigarette about 6 days ago at a friend's house and it was just awful. No positive feeling from it whatsoever. It was just as bad as when I originally picked them up two years ago.

I just still hasn't sunk in for me, really. I'm used to ALWAYS having a cigarette in my hand, and ALWAYS going outside to smoke, and ALWAYS going to the gas station on the corner to buy a pack twice a day.

I went in there yesterday to actually buy gas and the guy behind the counter said, "I haven't seen you in awhile - have you been out of town?"

Nah, I just don't need to buy cigs anymore. :D

Hey MissBlue!

One thing you will have to find out when you try this: For a lot of us (most) the smoking experience turns on you really fast when you start vaping. We don't know why, but a lot of people find smoking goes gross in short order. For people lucky like that smoking a cigarette actually turns out of be it's own worst negative reinforcement. If you are one of us in this respect it won't take long - you will know within the first week of vaping.

That's how it is for me right now.

Been smoking for 15 years, bought my 1st ego on Monday and haven't smoked since.

Now my coil seems bad and I'm out on the road. I've had an unopened pack of smokes next to me so I just opened them 15 minutes ago to smoke one since the ego was unbearable.

Well, so seems to be these cigarettes. Absolutely disgusting. Not anything close like they were while I was smoking.

I threw it out after 2 puffs.

Didn't believe I could or would quit...got an Ego C kit just for the purpose of proving my theory correct. I was wrong...I haven't picked up a ciggie since the moment I got it in the mail. I'm not that smart....took everything to read instructions and assemble...full concentration on new habby (habit-hobby=habby) Now I can't stand to smell a burning ciggy..turns my stomach. This is one of the best decisions I didn't make for myself.....if it was left up to me.....I'd still have a pack of cheap Marlboro tasting ciggies in my pocket. Welcome and vape on.

I picked up my first eGo kit on the way to a concert tailgate party. I had no intention of quitting right away, figuring I'd just try to cut the number of smokes down a bit. Surprise! Hey Mikey, he likes it!

During a long day and evening of drinking and hanging out with a bunch of folks who were smoking, I stuck to vaping, realizing that I didn't need the smokes any more.

I had one more cigarette that night at midnight, just to say goodbye to a 20+PAD habit.

That was over 11 months ago :)

Welcome to the club!

cbrite, it's from Mt. Baker Vapor. I reordered in 12 mg for myself. Husband loves it; hasn't even tried any other flavors.
