Shocked how fast I quit analogs

It's strange how it just works for some of us, while others fail miserably with vapor. I struggled for decades. 2 PAD for 21 years, with more quit-attempts than I care to mention. Once I tasted "Juicy-Fruit Gum"-flavored vapor, the battle was over.

Vapor with a decisive victory. Sound the retreat, Marlboro. Guard your flanks on the way out, your days are numbered.

My last analog was upon awakening on the morning after I bought my first vv/vw device. Done. Wow. I took ONLY my APV to work with me, and it was a thrill. Didn't have to go outside every 30 min, and get stares from my boss. In my own, private wing of a large building, I can vape to my heart's content. Even in front of the management. They prefer vapor too. :)

Been over 60 days with nary a craving. For me, vapor cuts the mustard. So far superior in so many ways. Smells better, cheaper, more interesting from a technology/electronics-hobby aspect, and most importantly my 4 yr-old doesn't smell like my disgusting smoke.

I suppose a lot of it stems from having a nice starter device, and a nice juice from the get-go. I got lucky with a local B&M that makes killer proprietary juice. I have tasted some bad juices from other vendors, and have had some clearos/cartos which would have made vaping "suck" for me as well, had I not already been satisfied with other superior products. I suppose a bit of research prior to entering the world of vapor helps the odds of success too.

Another thing that scares folks away from vaping is it's relative complexity.

Filling, "Don't get juice in the center-post", charging, Nic-levels, Nic-safety, mAh capacity, PG, VG, mix ratios, 510/306/901, Ohm's Law, HH.357, mods, APV, vv/vw, Z2 threading, mechanicals, kicks, clones, DNA20, DNA30, ZNA, RBA, RDA, RTA, battery-safety, Amps, Watts, Volts, etc. AHHHHHHH!!!!

It can tend to be a bit overcomplicated. Despite vaping's complexity, it has made my life much easier. Once I stop binging on vape mail, it will be cheaper too! If people just ease into it, and experiment with different devices, and seek help when necessary, success is imminent. Inevitable, in fact.

Hightower, I bought my first e-cig on Jan 21 of this year along with a carton of cigs. Really wasn't sure what vaping was all about at that time, so I wanted a back-up. I smoked my last cigarette on Jan 28 and I still have 7 packs left. Didn't really have any plans to quit analogs, it just happened.

I still carry a open pack of analogs in my coat pocket, yet never tempted to smoke one since I stopped. After smoking for 20+ years, I guess it's a "security blanket" of sorts. I still have a few packs laying around, but absolutely no desire to light one up. It's so strange.

I needed the help of a friend to show me what to get to start vaping. I didn't want to buy a bunch of stuff only to have it be junk or the wrong stuff.

What prompted me to try and quit smoking was a dream I had. In the dream I was bored and went running around my neighborhood for an hour and returning home not completely out of breath or a drop of sweat. What a wonderful feeling.

The hardest cig for me to quit was the morning bathroom smoke.
