Leeds, England reasonably accepting cant walk down the street without seeing bellowing clouds of vape rising mystically on the horizon. You are free to smoke in most open air areas designated for smoking. I have to say many of the independent retailers in the city are more accepting of the use than the larger multinationals. Public services have banned the use of ecigs in the main.

This thread is pretty old but I thought I'd share my recent experiences in Europe and how I tend to vape indoors in bars and airports in those places...

Spain (where I live): Pretty much accepted anywhere.
Bars: Publicly
Airports: Publicly

UK: Tolerated but become increasingly prohibited in some bar chains...etc
Bars: Discreet / sometimes stealth
Airports: Very discreet / stealth

Switzerland: Tolerated, can use but not buy nic containing juice
Bars: Publicly / Discreet depending on the bar
Airports: Very discreet / stealth

Belgium: Legal but same status as tobacco
Bars: No, they can get a fine, so can you
Airports: No

Czech Republic: Widely accepted
Bars: Publicly
Airports: Discreet

* When I say "publicly" I don't mean cloud chasing in a crowded bar - I mean I don't mind if other customers or staff are fully aware that I'm vaping, I always respect others around me and always adjust my vaping style to suit my surroundings - common curtesy!

Where I used to live, it's "illegal" to vape outside. They passed a Smoking Ban in the city last year and it happened to include "electronic cigarettes." So stupid. You can get fined $100. You can smoke/vape on your own property, or in your car with the windows rolled up. SO DUMB. Everyone I know (even the most well-aware ones) have bought into the "vaping causes popcorn lung" propaganda. It's unbelievable. (So.CA, USA).

(I would vape in my car with the windows down and outside at night when walking the dog... Just because. Idiots.)

Had I known that it's cool to vape in bars in Spain, I would have taken full advantage of that when I was there last November! I see you're from Malaga - it was one of the places I had the privilege of visiting. The hike to Castillo de Gibralfaro was an unforgettable experience.
