well its my 5th day now and all i feel is some body aches ( which is normal with the switch) and my tonsils hurt lol but i kinda feel that i have more lung capacity when i take a deep breath.
No phlegm what so ever which is weird because i know this is the most common thing people get when they quit analogs!

I was a smoker for 3 years Marlboro light with an average of 11 cigarettes a day.

so my question is when did you start feeling health changes and actually feel better? did it take days? weeks? Months?

Thanks!

Hey there! Welcome & congrats! I started to notice changes over weeks. I smoked for 15 years but i didn't cough up anything after I quit. It doesn't happen over night but you'll know when it does. For me it was little things like walking up the hill from taking out the trash & not getting winded. Just yesterday I somehow ended up jogging back to my apartment after taking the dog for a walk (which are now much longer walks than when I was smoking...trust me the dog was just as shocked as I was lol) & I wasn't panting & wheezing & feeling like I was gonna pass out! My doctor is also happy because my BP has dropped! Stick with it & you'll start to see some changes!

I smoked for about 12 years--a pack a day of Marlboro Blend 27s for the last 2 or 3 years.

Since quitting smoking and starting vaping I've definitely felt a positive difference in my energy level--and its only been a few weeks since I made the switch.

My lungs just feel better. I'm a surfer and didn't realize the extent of the pain/fatigue/shortness of breath I was experiencing after a session. I had a nice, long 4-5 hour surf today and I felt none of those I'll effects that I used to.

I'm looking forward to the weekly hoops game that usually go down in the summer amongst my group of friends. That'll be a nice test.

I smoked for about 12-13 years and when I started vaping I stopped analogs at the same time. I was about 1-2 packs a day. after I started vaping I noticed my sense of smell and taste came back in about a week, maybe a little longer, then almost 2 months in I really started noticing that I was sleeping better and didn't get winded as much from stairs and such.

I had slowly cut the number of analogs down until I was having just one a day. So when I quit I really didn't have any problems. When I was trying to use up my last pack I dreaded that one because it tasted so bad. Over the course of the month I felt like I had more energy and I actually started walking everyday. I am using 18mg nicotine right now but just ordered some 12mg. I hope to drop that down eventually. I never smoked in the house so going outside slowed me down some but when I started vaping and staying in the house, I find that I vape more than I use to smoke. I've always had problems sleeping, but it has really gotten bad lately. I don't know if it is the nicotine or just me. Or it could be because I am reading the forum all the time. heehee One thing that I have noticed is my sense of smell as improved to the level that it bothers me. And when I go out to eat the food seems to taste saltier. I know that sounds strange. There are so many advantages to vaping. These are things I am going through. You'll go through your journey. But you have made the right decision and there are people here that will listen and help you with any problems and answer any questions. Sorry for the long post. Good luck. Keep us posted. What you go through may help others.

Nothing but positive on my end. After the first few days, I noticed my energy levels rising. Two weeks later and it doesn't feel like I'm breathing through a clogged pipe. I noticed after about a week that my sense of taste and smell had sharpened, and that I'm utterly revolted by the smell of cigarettes. My feet don't sweat nearly as much (your body expels toxins through the pores on your feet), and don't smell nearly as bad, even with my increased sense of smell. My body doesn't hurt as much after working a long shift.

You gain all the same long-term benefits as someone who quits cold turkey. Your risk for various cancers will drop, as will your risk for heart and lung disease.
