I'm on the fast track...

Started with a couple 1000mAh egos paired with evods approximately two weeks ago.
After a week of vaping (and browsing ECF) I decided to go for an eVic paired with a UDCT.
And at the end of the second week I decided to order an EPipeMod.

SOoooo... it's going to be a little while before I start seeing the savings of quitting analogs. Still, it's nice not having to stop by the liquor store/gas station.

I have about 100 carts that fit my V2, if I upgrade sometime will they fit on a spinner, I like the design of the spinner.
I used V2 type cigs for 3 years just bought 50 carts a few weeks ago then decided to upgrade. Got a Spinner/Twist Ego VV Tank Combo and they work fine with a 510 to [KR808D-1/DSE901] Adapter wish I would have done it sooner. :)

As mentioned in my first post I bought the V2 standard kit 2 weeks ago and received it a week ago. I love it and vaping so far, especially trying new flavors! My question is...

What did you start with?

How long until you upgraded?

What did you upgrade to?

Like you, I started with a kit from V2Cigs. Nice little setup for what it is.

V2Cigs -> Elite 808 from CigEasy -> Riva 808 -> Riva 510 -> KGO -> eGo Twist and Vision Spinner

I have about 100 carts that fit my V2, if I upgrade sometime will they fit on a spinner, I like the design of the spinner.

No they won't. You can get an adapter, though. 510 to [KR808D-1/DSE901] Adapter

What's your favorite? Provari seems nice but expensive. Is a spinner and a better upgrade after the V2? I just don't want to drop a lot of money and find out I don't like something like the provari. Also I'm still confused about what attavhments fit which devices

A Spinner is a massive upgrade from a V2. Variable voltage and lots of battery power that will last almost all day, depending on your vaping frequency.

Is there a calculator that helps keep track of savings and spendings? Or does everyone just use the old paper and pen?

You can use a counter like the one in my sig. There are many kinds, so pick the one that you like. These will track everything EXCEPT spending, which can be recorded with simple pen and paper.

Thanks, maybe once I burn all my carts up ill upgrade. Is there anywhere to sell used batteries and all? Are you allowed to sell them on ebay?

You can sell your used equipment here on ECF in the Member Classifieds.

oh STOP it already !!!!! You all are making me seriously jealous!

Reading all these posts makes me want to jump right back online and order a boatload of goodies. ACK !!! I'm that way with techie gadgets, too. Gotta have 'em ALLLLLLLL....

Well.. since I'm still a newb (smoke free only a little over 2 months now)..I started out with the off brand deals available at the local gas station food marts. Was using (and getting sick of) them until last week when I ordered a HALO starter kit with manual batteries and 1 ml mini tank (same diameter as the battery itself, and thus less conspicuous). Was really thrilled with that until I found ECF. :thumb:

ENTIRELY too much eye candy here !!! :hubba: Have already spent the weekend ordering this and that and the other... mostly just small stuff like clearos, bcc's, drip tips, and slightly larger tanks.. just trinkets.

Kept reading more here, and made a jump this morning to an eGo mini with mini bcc. Will see how I like that, then probably upgrade again in a couple months or so to a twist or spinner so I can tweak and fine tune a bit more. If I could just quit reading this forum I could save myself a lot of money ! After all... that WAS another motivating factor in this "quitting" business for me ! Sheeesh.

I really like what HauntedMyst posted..very fitting :

Finding this forum has been a huge help. The shear amount of knowledge is staggering, as are all the devices and juices! This "hobby" or whatever you want to call it is like anything else. You dip your feet in the water and find those surface products that meet the need cheaply but then when you really get in the water you see how deep and vast it is. This forum helps sort a lot of it out.

Started about a year ago with some Bodega brand 'Puffs' that lasted me almost 2 full days for eight bucks. Quickly picked up an ego and the rest has just been (up?)(down?)hill from there. Got every ego battery out there, my Vamo, and recently decided to stop breaking things and got a provari.

Took me in total about 6 months to move from yer standard pv to something a bit more... fun

I started with a cig-a-like by a brand called cigaltern that I picked up at a local tobacconist for €28. I was a newbie and didn't know anything about vaping. I figured out pretty quickly that buying new cartridges was far too expensive, and tried filling the cartridges with e-liquid that I bought online, which worked fine of course, because they are just regular cartomizers. But they were very low quality cartos, and they ended up with a burned taste after a few days no matter how I kept them from dying out. After 1 month of using my first e-cigarette, I decided to upgrade. Being the kind of person that likes to go support a local store rather than order online, I went to a local vaping store called cigaverte and saw what they had. I had done a good deal of research on vaping and a lot of lurking on ECF at this point, so I knew what I was looking for. I wanted an e-Go battery and a clearomizer, simple as that. I found a battery called a T-Rex. It was the store brand, and was basically a 1100maH e-Go battery with a fancy blue LED light. I got that and a rebuildable clearo (also store brand) and have been using that for about 6 or 7 weeks. It works just fine, gives me great vapor and flavour, and I don't plan to change it until I have enough money to buy a variable voltage battery. I'm thinking either a lavatube or an e-Go c twist.

    Happy vaping! :vapor:
