Joye 306 kit (satisfied for 1 week but didn't like "auto" batteries). Joye 510 Mega Kit (satisfied for 3 months but batteries broke easily & needed 3 or 4 a day). The Copper early all-mechanical MOD (satisfied for two years but no way to lock firing). Thermovape Alpha Ultralite, then an Ultra and an UltraMax (satisfied for another year but don't fit tanks well). Nemesis (no issues WSE, will carry to deathbed). MKB-TS (current daily driver - should last forever - it does everything I want). 69 Mod (coming in the mail, we'll see. Had to have one because 69 is special number to me). Sold my Alpha Ultra. Looking at a MicroStick next.

Attys: 306, 510, 510T, Rainbow Dripping RDA, Griffon (Geni-style), Terminator Dripping Mode, AGA-T2+, Terminator Large, Terminator R/C

"The Diver" & Triopoltis tank on the way.

I started with trying various disposables and loved the Blu disposable. Bought the Blu kit right away, disliked it and returned it. Got on this forum and researched good setups for newbies. I decided on a 650 mah (about 6 hours of battery) Ego type battery and a Vision brand Vivi Nova tank. Loved that set up and later bought a 1000 mah Joye brand Ego Twist (Twist means variable voltage). That was a game changer as far as better quality, longer battery life and big time flavor improvement. With the Ego type batteries you can use many brands of blank and prefilled cartridges as well as many other juice delivery systems. Good luck on your journey !

A little update here.

Need more juices, so bought a lot of different juices. Hmmm I need a place to put this stuff.
One storage box for my juice and devices coming up.
Ok happy now.... Wait, look at all those empty slots in the storage cabinet.

DIY stuff from Wizard Labs to the rescue! OK, happy now... wait...

It's a disease I tell you. A disease! :D

my first setup was a laser etched ego passthru with an innokin iclear 16. i had it for about a month and loved it, but then i bought my first cartotank and fell in love with the looser draw and the fact that it produced more vapor. so from there i got a lavatube knockoff, the yung june(sp?) lambo. i have had that for about a weekish now and its suits me just fine even tho its tuned to v-average instead of rms. i just adjust to taste with it. ive ordered more cartos and another tank.

I started w/a FIN from Walmart. After a couple days got an Ego/clearomizer from a local B&M, then a VVNM, then a few weeks later got a Spinner/cartotank, a few weeks after that I finally got a Provari/RBA. Time from the FIN to the ProV/RBA is around 3 mos. I still use the Spinner at work w/a Killer 705/IBTank, but the Provari/ZAP is the ticket for me most times now.

I'm glad it just wasn't me.....I felt like the lone ranger over here wanting to upgrade so quickly.

The Long Version:

My husband suggested to me one day the idea of vaping, (at the time, I didn’t even know it was called "vaping") and asked me to look into it and do some research. He told me that some of the people at his command had gone to the local vaping store and had bought a setup and were using it in order to quit smoking. I went to the store and when they showed me this apparatus, i was in shock! I kept thinking to myself, "Why in the world would you want to use that?" To me it was not user friendly and was awkward in size and appearance.
After my adventure, i came home and started looking online and found other styles that looked like a cigarette and didn’t have buttons and to me would replace the actual motions of smoking an analog, inhaling and whatnot. Read some reviews and ended up ordering a Green Smoke kit for 2 people. This was at the end of March. Got the kit in the mail pretty quickly and charged all the batteries screwed that cartomizer on there and was like... this is kinda cool!!!!. Both my husband and I agreed the flavors left something to be desired, but it was something we could live with at the moment, I say at the moment because I has no idea what was out there: all the different e-liquids, dripping equipment, LR and HR atomizers, I got really excited about vaping!!!!! I don’t even buy cartos from GS anymore. I buy blanks and am now starting to try different e-liquid in different PG/VG mixes.
To date, neither I nor my husband has found any liquid that we just can't live without. Earlier this month I did buy some cheap 510 manual batteries and dripping supplies to try the new juices I ordered this week, but I am now an looking to get one of those apparatuses that I thought were so clunky and unattractive (like smoking is attractive to begin with!) I have been looking at the eGo C twist and a Kanger EVOD and get away from cartomizers completely, however I look at the vendor sites and immediately become overwhelmed because they offer so many options and I have no idea what i really need...like do I REALLY need the thread cover or will I need a converter piece. Would it be a wise decision to get a battery with 1000 a MH, does that make a difference, other than battery life?

I guess the short answer would be:

I started with a Green Smoke kit and have had used it religiously for about 6 weeks and I'm looking to upgrade because I now see there is so much more to enjoy that an analog look-a-like and the fact that i have discovered I can get nicotine wrapped in a vanilla malt flavor is like Christmas in July!!

Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions for a first upgrade from a mini style battery and cartos.

I started vaping on my 30th birthday back in January with an eGo Twist kit I assembled. I still haven't upgraded from my pair of Twist batteries; I guess I don't really see the point. Most everything fits on these things and they have more than enough output (I don't think I've ever turned them past 4.2v on any of my attached devices). At some point if I ever start using RBAs I might upgrade just to have a nice looking device that is stable when standing upright.

Started off with an ego clone kit(2 "Smokin T" battery and two ce4 style clearomizers) Once the ce4 started tasting bad I went to a local vape shop, the owner was very informative, educating me on vape stuff. Walked out of the store with a Vision Spinner 1300mAh a mini Vivi Nova tank and a Kanger t2. Liked the setup so I went in again to purchase another spinner and another t2. Vaped on that setup for awhile but then wanted to take the next step so I bought a Lavatube, Kanger Protank and IClear 30, XXXL Smok tech and Boge F16. In my opinion the vivi nova and XXXl smoktech are my least favorite yet I still use them occasionally, my favorite setup so far is the BogeF16 atop my Lavatube. Vaping became a hobby real quick, started about 6 months ago, now have a jewelry type box about 2/3 full.

Friend gave me a basic ego with some clearos and juice: 2 weeks, (got me off the cigarettes).
Got a ego VV version 1 with cartos, a Vivi Nova, carto tank, and some dripping atty's: 3 weeks.
Got a ProVari (yep am a fan) and Kanger Protanks: 6 weeks.
Now playing with the IGO-L, really having fun with making my own coils and wicks. Silica wicks 2 weeks. Cotton 1 week and counting..
And actually today picked up a ego VV version 2 (great for a runaround when the ProVari is a bit much).
On the wish list, new RBA's, ProVari mini (not to gush but they just work day in day out) and a glass drip tip.
