Thanks guys...so I'm about right. How long do you wait after refilling before you vape a carto? I've been leaving them overnight, but wondered if I could use them sooner. I placed an order with Steve for some more, but due to Columbus Day I won't get it till mid next week, and I have to go out of town, so I'm starting to panic a little!!! 8-o

I usually refill all my empties at once and put them in a seperate container, then just grab them as I need them. But I have refilled cartos and vaped them right away, and I don't see much of a difference.

Ill end up using about 2 fresh cartos a day or 1 fresh carto and 2 refilled ones, or sometimes on days when i really want variety ill use around 3 or 4 refilled ones.
I am just like the last 2 posts. I usually vape on a new carto for a couple hours to half a day, but i try to keep it alive and fresh tasting so i tend to start refilling early sometimes (that way i dont have to worry about the filling inside getting to hot). I really recommend getting some juice to compliment your favorite cartos.

I was wondering from all you more experienced V4L folks out there, about how long does a full cart last you. I was about a pack per day smoker, and I'm finding that one cartomizer isn't quite lasting me a day before I have to refill it and grab a new one. Anyone??? Thanks.
I was a pack a day + smoker. I find that a fresh cart on a auto battery will last me about 8 hours OR on a manual battery about 5 hours. I top up but I seperate the fresh carts from the refilled/topped up ones. That way I only use new carts on the auto and refilled on the manuals. Yes, lost an auto battery to a overfilled refill cart. Sad, but true...May it rest in peace. I loved that silver bullet.:(

I had assumed the carts would last longer on a manual battery because there wouldn't be a wasted "primer" puff. I'm intrigued to hear that you get longer life when using an auto battery.

I realize that this is an old post, but I was digging through older threads looking for an answer and came across it. It seems as though with manual batteries you end up drawing more vapor than with an auto battery simply because it's easier. This is why so far I love the rotation of two auto batteries when I'm out and a manual battery when I'm at the house or at school. It keeps my carts a bit "fresher" for longer, thus allowing me to stay out longer without worrying about needing a new cart (perfect for work).

Now, my question; Do you really find that a fresh cart lasts about the same as a pack of cigarettes? I remember when I was doing my initial research before buying and a lot of people seemed to say that a fresh cart would last around the life of 20-30 cigarettes, which is something that I personally haven't experienced at all. I have found that using Taryn's (sp) refill method the carts last exponentially longer, but a fresh cart generally tends to die well before the equivalent of 1 pack of cigarettes.

Yea when I was doing my research when I first found out about ecigs everywhere I looked it said carts will last the equivelent of 20-35 cigarettes.......wouldn't that be nice!! I'm sure as Steve works with china more and more we will get there some day!!
