Good question! After some recent disappointment topped by today's near-death experience I'm pretty firmly in the carto camp - at least until my ce3s get here. I filled one today around noon (although how on earth do you know if it's really full?) but topped it off twice already with a few more drops when I noticed a change in taste. I've never gotten to full on burned, thankfully!

As I recall, I would top off a carto every ten puffs or so. Treat the polyfill like the soil of a houseplant; not too dry, not too soggy, just consistently moist.

Then I graduated to cartos in a tank; most often, the Smoktech DCT with a single coil carto; 2.0 ohms for a 3.4 - 3.7 volt constant-voltage device. But even at that, I got tired of changing cartos every day or two, and collecting them in a big pile that "i'll clean one day".

Now I use the Vivi Nova 3.5ml version 2.5 tank/atty ($14) with the variable voltage eGo-C Twist ($18-23), while my more expensive and fancy stuff sits. Highly recommended.

I use Smoktech LR XL cartos. These hold 1.8 ml of e-liquid. I use them without a tank.

LR cartos run hot, so you run the risk of burning them if you take these cartos down lo less than 50% capacity. E-liquid in the filler acts as a coolant.

How often you refill will depend on how much you vape per day. I do 2 ml per day. I top off the cartos after about three hours of use with anywhere from 12 to 20 drops of e-liquid, which is far less than 50% capacity for the XL size.

Refilling a Smoktech LR XL carto every 10 puffs is way too often.

I've used several dozen boge cartos. Some tasted good and some bad. Been off work due to the flu all week. Ok I was bored and decided to clean them the way pbusardio did in a video I saw.

I think that's the right link. Well I did it today and will never do it againl. I'ts really a pain in the ..... I just toss em and buy some more when needed. But I was try to save a few dollars for other toys. If you decide to clean em make sure you plan the whole day around it. Haven't got em dry that will be about 2-3 days from now. But the plus side is I got a lot of clean condems I can use for other things.
