I didn't think about it at the time but I had a carto that was filled with juice that I had set aside for about 2 weeks. Decided to vape on it a few days ago. Suddenly I have a raging sinus infection. Who knows where the infection came from but I started thinking... should I have tossed the carto after sitting for so long and filled a new one with the juice? What is the best way to preserve juices? How long can I keep juice before it needs tossed? I usually vape with clearomizers which I love especially my T3S. I wonder, also, how often I should clean the clearos? Never had any problem before now and can't definitively connect the carto to my sinus infection but just got me wondering. Any insight out there?

I have never had a problem with a carto or clearo going bad, to illustrate, I just grabbed my first vape, and iclear16 and an old tough tank with the original ejuice in it and vaped while reading this. No problems.

PG is a natural preservative and inhibits bacterial growth, some vapers report less respiratory problems once they begin to vape. I have found this to be true in my own case.

I would think if it it's possible that you had a poorly made batch of ejuice with something in it that could go bad you would feel it in the lungs first, or the lungs throat and sinuses together.

I have, on average, 12 tanks going at a time and 4 carto tanks, the carto tanks have had the same carto for 2 months, no problems with them at all refilling twice a week without cleaning of any kind.

To be sure, it could happen in an imperfect world, so I would suggest you dispose of the ejuice just in case you have a bad batch.

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well, better vaping days ahead!

I have a question being fairly new at this. What is a cartomizer? My ecig has a built in atomizer within the cartridge and are disposable? What would this be called? Thanks for your patience. :)

A carto just combines the atomizer and cartridge into a single unit. Generally works better. If you want to move to a carto tell us what battery combo you have ( name, or pic, link) and we can help you find a carto for it.

808 or 510 cartos are most popular...
