My current generic penstyle atty (from SmokeSafe) is in it's third month with no reduction of vapor and no bad taste. I drain it overnight every few days but otherwise leave it alone.

I've never had an atty go totally cold. Usually they just give weak smoke. I've never got much if anything out of cleaning them.

However, I'm keeping the weak ones. Some day someone will find something that will REALLY clean them...

I bought 6 901s in October and four of the atts are still working as right as rain. I have two evo atts that I have had since december and they are both still totally fine. I dont do a thing to them. Two 801s I bought in december lasted probably about six weeks before dying.

Thank you, I thought it was just me that had decent vaporisers. My 4 hole is over 2 months old and I have a 2 hole that is past 3 months. I defy anyone to tell the difference between them in a blind test.
Today, for the first time in months, I did a test; I used the 4 hole (black) with an atom battery (white) and filled a cart with zero menthol ecopure at 7.25am. I expected maybe around 100 drags at most but was very surprised when the cart outlasted the battery. The atom gave up at 3.10pm having delivered 180 drags - the cart dried up at 5.15pm after 197 drags. I did leave it for a while and managed to get 3 more drags to make a round 200, which at an average of 15 drags per cig equals roughly 13.33333333 cigs. I should add that I have enlarged the hole in the mouthpiece to 2mm diameter which gives a nice easy draw. The vaporisers have both been cleaned once, about a week ago, using the tablets that clean false teeth, works a treat!!

My M401 atty just went cold on me. Didn't seem to last long at all...just a few days. I now have it soaking in hot water and will try to perform some cleaning tests on it to try to revive it.

Every night I would blow out the residue, rinse in hot water and turn it mesh side down to drain onto a paper towel. Didn't seem to prolong its short life. Maybe it was just a fluke, I certainly hope so.

The "cootie theory" seems the most plausable so far
Darn shame on my spare dying so quickly.I swear it actually had a bit better performance.....

After much testing, it appears that cooties kills atomizers. You might want to write C.P. on the back of your hand for protection.

Is there any possibility that all the vapors with long lasting atomizers vape menthol.....could it be that menthol somehow keeps atties clean?

I rarely touch menthol. I liked it but I found it makes my chest feel a bit heavy so I don't think that's it. Any news with trying VG?

In th end, it might come down to just you have really bad luck.

Hi,been vaping for give or take about 3 weeks. Just lost my 1st. 2nd and 3rd died from trying to clean it. I thingk I over toasted it with too much voltage. All 3 are dse901. I'm a heavy vaper... work from home so I use a lot... about 5 ml of 1mg per ml. I wish there was a way to easily clean and/or service these without damaging it.

On a side note: has anyone done a mod for home use? I don't really care about the size since it will primarily be used at home. This way the protables can be used when you're out (at work or play) and a big heavy duty, easy to clean, replacable parts can be used at home. I envision something no bigger than a can of redbull. This way you can open the atty and clean the crust that builds up inside. If a part fails then pop the thing open, pull out the part, replace it then vape away.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I'm new and not sure where I can post this. Just want something to last a bit longer. In my 3 weeks of using I've had too many problems, (cartridge, atty, short battery life). It's just getting frustrating at this point. Sorry for rambling too.

Interesting theory but going by me and my co worker,It wont hold up in court!
We both got our Npro's the same day.She vapes menthol and I hit Camel,Pure Marlboro, and Johnson Creek Tenn Cured.
Shes on her 3rd atomizer and im still using my first.

Is there any possibility that all the vapors with long lasting atomizers vape menthol.....could it be that menthol somehow keeps atties clean?
