V4L's are auto..but you can DIY or look for other places to buy them..I think..
Oops....sorry (got carried away with the manuals). The Diamond Batteries are, of course, auto.
That's what I thought. I do my own DIY for now, but can't wait till V4L gets them in manual. I will have one (or 2 or 10 -- LOL)!
Wow! Does one really need this many batteries, or is this personal choice/addiction?
None from v4l (yet lol) but I have 5 auto shorties, 1 xl auto and a pig cig. 2 of the shorties are completely untouched back-ups.
Katz it's just a personal choice. I love the color variety - matching to cartos and/or clothing. You really only need 3 batteries & a PT with at least one of them manual if you're refilling (no way for liquid to get into your auto battery). That way you are assured that you are not left without a way to vape. Nothing lasts forever and these should each last for about 200 recharges.
Xg4bx it's suggested that your backup batteries should be stored with charges on them. I check mine once a week to ensure they are charged.

PTs purple manual for use in truck and another for at the computer

It's a good idea to have back ups. It is also a good idea to have situational ones. Manuals like DawnsFolly said for the first few puffs off of a refill. I personally choose a manual from the company I do not like any more. Once you are sure your refill is not dripping you can put it on an auto. I also have shorties for when I can't use my XL, places where it would get in the way and all of that jazz. After that it's all about how many you want.

Rotation is the name of the game. I am sure lots of people will explain the techie stuff..but Batts ARE perishable.
Left alone for months or years they will discharge and die..so sad! You need to charge them every so often.
In my opinion I would just use them in rotation..when One dies or starts losing charge..buy more!
As for the how many do you really need question. I need one for each flavor I keep going..one to use when the first set needs charging and One for rotaion. So for now I NEED 18. Then there are those times I need to switch up flavors..3 more...21 total Gee that's what I have!

I constantly rotate mine Ms. MK. Carry 6 batts while at work (have gone through all six one day, it was petty stressful). I stick the dead ones on the charger and replace with a fully charged one in waiting. Each batt gets used at least once per week...
I feel like I neglect some of my older batts... now they look sad...I should play with them
