Just wondering aprox. how many charging cycles can you get from the average 18650 battery?

Most reputable battery manufacturers offer a lifespan of between 300/500 run cycles which is deemed to be a conservative figure but that is calculated upon ideal laboratory conditions. In real life those conditions are not often met but there are certain procedures that we as owners/users can carry out that can prolong that lifespan.
Maximum charging current of 1 Amp
Avoid extreme temperatures, especially high temps. Includes leaving in vehicle during summer or on windowsills.
Remove cell from charger as soon as charged
Give a freshly fully charged cell 20/30mins to level out before use
Do not over charge or discharge
Clean the cell regularly
Do not abuse
There are others but it's past my bedtime.
Every 0.10V drop below 4.20V/cell doubles the cycle; the retained capacity drops accordingly. Raising the voltage above 4.20V/cell stresses the battery and compromises safety.
