Somebody needs to answer the age old vaping question of....How many drops are in 1 ml? Like so many, when I was new I scoured the net for vaping information especially Youtube. However, now that I have little first hand experience I can see just how bad the bulk of those how-to videos really are.

I can remember 2 that caught my eye when I first started to use juice and wanted to know how to refill. One was a bald head guy with glasses named Geeford or Beeford or something and the other was a guy who was a Doctor of some sort. They sold me on the Condom Method for refilling, one of, if not the worst of all refilling methods.

Although I hate sending traffic to their sites in order for this video to make sense you will have to see at least one of the videos in question. 31,000+ hits, I wonder how may dead auto batteries that equates to?

YouTube - A Great Way To Fill Cartomizers

As a family courtesy I am going to give Peeford a break, at least he posted a Part II to his video of the worst possible way to refill a cartomizer.

I think I filled one carto like that...and decided it wasn't tidy enough and it did waste juice. I've never been able to get my paws on a syringe...but I guess that is the best way to fill. I just pop the top off, tilt, and drip. If it's a refill I'll only drip about ten drops. If I'm filling a cart (only use the cool carts) I'll drip and spin until the batting looks damp, which is a little over thirty drops. All of that only takes a few minutes, though...and I've never understood why some consider it such a bother.

Easy Jazzbaby, if my memory serves me correctly phishtraveler had a helluva a time with refilling. Isn't that right phish? :p

BP....no doubt, that is hella funny isn't it, got your pm, glad to see you lurking around. Lots of new folks here, but let me tell ya BP is one of my favorite posters from days of old before he jumped on the VG train. Loved reading his juice reviews, hope the new line VG leads you to post up some reviews here some day BP.

As for Leaford, we all know what video (outdoor Shinzen) I am talking about. And for those in the know.....he had a mouth full of juice in Part I and Part II. His batteries must have had so much blackish/greenish gunk on them I'll bet he was tossing them every 2 weeks. And yes, I gave him a break only because of his past family ties.

For those new to vaping that are reading this........don't do the Condom Method, it's bad, it's wrong, it's badong!!

No syringe......watch this:

Having problems with the juice absorbing, then watch my newest video "The Tarin Spin" Everything You Need To Know. That reminds me, I guess I had better post it.

My best find in filling a carto is:

Syringe with an 18g needle. New Carto

Pop the cap off the cart and a juice bottle, suck up about 1ml of juice... put the cart on a napkin, remove mouthpiece

shove the needle down the side of the cart to the bottom and plunger in about 1/2 of the juice.

Move to the other side, repeat, let it set for a second and then pull back the plunger until any excess juice is pulled back out

At this point, I have about a drop of juice on the napkin and in the air tube. And damp looking (not soaked) polyfill

A quick blow out from the battery end and blot off any juice on the contact and threads

Plunger the remaining liquid in the syringe back into the bottle

done. No spinning, no fuss, no waiting, no gurgling, no further flooding out.

Been working for me and is incredibly fast.

If anyone has any suggestions or a better way, feel free to let me know. I'm ALWAYS open to improvements

And yes, I waste about 1 or 2 drops, which I am ok with as I don't think you can get a complete carto fill without losing a little bit

On previously filled cartos, I use about .5ml of juice. With this method, I've been using the same carto (with the same flavor) for over a week with no burn and no problems. And that's about filling a cart about 1 or 2 times a day.

I use both the dripping method and yes the dreaded condom method too to refill cartos. Mostly out of laziness to go find a syringe somewhere as the town i live in is small and they are not readily available.

Truth is the Condom method does actually work IF you clean of the Cart before re-attaching to the battery. I usually take any leftover juice and squeeze the condom to get the drips on the top of the cart. I then do the Tarin spin and afterwards blow the cart out so the center is not clogged. I agree this method is a little messy and a syringe probably would be faster and easier, but like I said syringes are hard to come by here.

jt, if you need a syringe....pm me your address buddy I'll hook you up. Now, please folks don't flood my box with syringe requests, jt and I go back aways. Only friends can stop friends from the Condom Method!

I'm actually pulling together a video (now everyone will do one....can't wait to see Max drip fill a carrot ) of all the different methods of refilling which is why I shot that little ditty about how many drops equals 1 ml. While I was researching I ran across a few of the first videos I saw on the Condom Method and just couldn't resist responding.

And for those that have already pm'd me....I wasn't using e-juice, it was Ice Tea. :p

Hey! Good to see you posting here! It's been a LONG time. Have you tried some of the new VG juices yet?

from days of old before he jumped on the VG train. Loved reading his juice reviews, hope the new line VG leads you to post up some reviews here some day BP.

Good to see you both as well. I've actually almost-posted a VG review several times now, but in a way, I don't feel like my opinions mean all that much anymore, because my tastes have changed and mellowed SO much over time. I still like good TH, and I like very thick heavy vapor, but in flavors, what I like might be considered boring and far too tame by most.

That said, I'm actually really enjoying V4L's VG Cowboy. Actually I'm loving it.

Over the last few days, its become one of my 2 all-day flavors. That sounds bad, right after saying I like less flavor, I'm not saying Cowboy is a bland flavor - it was quite strong to me straight out of the bottle, and strong enough that after a while I had to cut it with ecopure which I frequently (okay, almost always) use to mellow flavors without diminishing TH. But I really like the basic sweet tobacco flavor of the Cowboy - and love that its not overpowered by anything, including no nutty-ness (haven't been crazy about nutty tobaccos lately)

As far as consistency, its thick stuff, even thick for a VG (and I've tried just about every VG out there) Probably the thickest VG I've ever had. Which can be troublesome depending on what type of atty you're using. But actually has a better TH than a lot of VG's I've had - the TH is right up my alley, and vapor production is great.

Now see, I meant to explain why I shouldn't write a review and then went and typed one. ugh, ignore me. Anyway, I'm enjoying the VG Cowboy. Was sad to see earlier today that they're out of it in 18mg. Will pick up more if it comes back in stock
