If it's some sort of pop culture thing, that would explain why I don't know. I haven't owned a TV in years. Don't miss it. Took me over a week to figure out Michael Jackson died. Longer to hear about the whole Tiger Woods thing. Sometimes I am so glad I'm so disconnected from that stuff.
But I'm curious.

I watched his mother get married so i'll probably watch this one too. Got to at least see the dress.
The upcoming British royal wedding. I don't know their names, but it's one of Princess Di's sons... Prince Somethingorother. I don't know when it is, but I think it's sort of soon-ish?
Anyway, I won't be watching. I don't understand the interest at all.

Yeah, I don't really get this sort of thing either. On a pop culture level, I don't get it. It feels invasive to me. And I also don't get why I'd be interested in a stranger's life or relationships to that extent.
But I also don't get it on a conceptual level. I'm one of those weirdos who isn't that moved by weddings. And the gaudier and more extravagent it is, the less interested I am. I'm much more moved by seeing a happy couple buying groceries than I am by weddings.
But, have fun guys.

I just heard today that the wedding is tomorrow, LOL. Actually, I didn't stumble upon that tid bit until minutes ago.

Ohhhh, I guess that explains why it's be possible to avoid it so far. I tried to ignore Di's wedding too, but the girl I was seeing at the time was obsessed with it. I feel the entire concept of Royalty is offensive. But we seem to be fostering something similar in this country, sad to say.
Actually, I can't wait to watch it April 29th. It's cheesy, but it'll be a nice break from the news, and better than some of the idiots on reality shows. At least these young "royals" are attempting to do some charity work and live a normal life...they'll never really get to because of media attention, but I do think they try, and I wouldn't wish to trade places with them for all the money in the world...
