Started vaping just 12 days ago - love it!! Been off the analogues since day two of vaping after 30 years of a pack a day.

Inexperience made me start on a real basic starter kit, and I quickly realised that I needed something better - so spent more money on a second kit. Just 12 days later I'm seriously thinking that I need to change again - this time realising that this ain't no passing fad - that I should invest in the best PV that I can afford.

I guess this is not uncommon - that newbies get through several bits of kit till they gain the knowledge and experience to make the right decisions. Right now, vaping has cost me double what analogues would have -but no regrets!!!

Welcome to ECF. First PV was Megalodon and haven't looked back. Provari very rarely used. I bought a Mod cuz I saw your story over and over again.

Edit: I should add that I spent hundreds of hours researching before I bought. It was a lot of work but I have an insatiable appetite for research and learning.

Welcome, Turkish - I think you're following a pretty familiar route!

I started with disposables, but started reading this forum about the same time so after a couple of weeks got a KGO and started experimenting with juices and man, that did the trick. I'm still pretty new but am already reading up on VV models and different mods.

I started on an e-Cig from the convienece store; it was called "Krave" and quickly realized that I 'kraved' something with a little more umpfh. So then I bought an ego-T and several batteries. Ive purchased a Stainless Steel Apollo V-Tube but it hasnt shipped yet and at this rate; I probably won't get it until the end of December 2012 (wait.. wont we all be dead then? :p).

anyway, Ill probably end up getting this too... Stainless Steel GG Telescopic Storm with Brass Telescope and then after that maybe I will have found my perfect PV.. it's a never ending journey!

I started with a cheap convenience store model. From day one it got me off analogs which was three months ago. Once my first one needed replacement I bought some random "deluxe starter kit" from a website. I didn't know anything about c-cigs then so i didn't know what I bought was an Ego clone. After that I bought, and fell in love with, an Ego-T. I loved not having to drip! I switched to Ego-C atty's when my T's needed replacing and I like them just fine.

Now, almost two months after getting my Ego, I'm sick of it. I'm not getting the flavour I remember no matter the state of my atty and I just ordered myself a Lavatube mod. I'm hoping the higher voltage will solve my flavour issues. I think I'll always be on the search for the "perfect" PV. Maybe I just vape too much and I'm dulling my taste buds and this will be a never ending battle until I cut back.

Welcome to the forum. I think many spend quite a bit upfront moving from the typical looky like 510, to Ego, to mods. After the initial cost for myself I'm now pretty well set with a P-10 when I want small and a P-18 when I want longer battery life. With the recent purchase of a Siam slim carto tank I have to say I'm pretty content and my day to day costs are minimal compared to cigarettes.

i am lucky to have a brick and mortar store in my town so I went there and started with an eGo kit...it worked fine but I wanted more "control" and so I bought a 3.7v box mod that I love. I would be just fine using this box from here on out but I'm sure I'll buy more in the future...already planning on a VV box mod as my next big buy, lol

I started with a starter kit from Eluma Cigs. Lousy choice, but I was able to quit the stink sticks immediately.

After a week I bought a Joye 510 kit. Another bad decision, but they were great compared to that Eluma.

After two more weeks I bought a Joye eGo kit. I was in heaven. I bought two more eGo batteries as backups.

Four weeks later, I ordered a Provari V2. It should arrive on Thursday. It took me 46 days to go from smoking to buying a $200 PV. So far, I've spent $750 on vaping. But I try not to think about that aspect. At least I was able to kick a seemingly unkickable 40-year nasty habit.

I started with the good 'ole Blu, and after the batteries got annoying and almost went back to analogs, switched to an e-go like kit. That was good and let me get my foot into the mod world, as I really liked the battery life compared to the little Blu. I gave up on that kit due to the device just being subpar and the batteries I received with it were quite finicky with the charger. Stepped up and just bought a Silver Bullet and I've been happy ever since. Luckily too MadVapes is 15 minutes away lol!

Found my perfect PV's when I bought my 8th, 9th, 11th and 12th PV's :D Every one has served a purpose and I dont regret any of them :) The first was the most important as thats the one that I quit smoking with :thumb: No more new APV's in my near future as I'm totally happy now, but some day I'm sure another will catch my eye and I'll just HAVE to try it ;)

I started with a disposable. It wasn't that good, but got me interested.
Then a friend was using a cig type, I tried it, and it was better. I became more interested. It was V2. So I got a kit.
I liked it, but I wanted more battery life, so I bought a couple cheap 14500 box mods.
I kept reading about variable voltage, and how great it was. By this time, I knew that vaping had taken hold of me, so I got a Provari.
I decided that continually switching cartos was getting to be a bother, so why not just switch PVs?
Meanwhile, I had become so enamored with the Provari, that nothing else would do. Besides, what would I do if my Provari broke.
I bought two more.
I figured I now had everything I could ever need. THEN, the Provari mini was introduced. I had to have one.
And so it continues...

I was lucky enough to start with an E-Power 14650 as my very first e-cigarette. It turns out that this APV was an excellent choice. I'm still using it. Details...

Oh yeah, I spent a couple of nights reading posts on ECF before I made the choice.

Wish I researched more before I bought my first device. Glad it got my foot in the door, but would have saved a lot of frustration and almost giving up on it all. I didn't realize vaping had such a following and community surrounding it, lots of good people and companies involved!
