Been 2 months into vaping and I've helped 2 friends and 1 relative totally quit smoking. The 2 friends, whom I frequently "enjoyed" smoking with in the past, saw that I got into e-cigs, were shocked that I converted, and I simply pointed them over to the local B&M store where I bought some of my stuff and told them to sample the flavors, especially RY4. By the time I saw them again, they were hooked.

The relative, my 20yo nephew, was curious about it, and I just let him have a go at my ...errr.... eGo... and a few tanks I cleaned up for him and filled them up with tobaccos and a couple of Gourmet flavors. He was hooked! I'm glad I participated in helping them move away from cigarettes. Besides smoking, one thing that was common between them was the fact that each one had actually tried eCigs before. It turns out that they simply had a couple of puffs, and they thought, "Nah..."

I find that to get a person to convert, there has to be some experience of trying out different liquids and flavors. They will like some, and not others, and begin to enjoy the tasting process. Also, someone's gotta be there to guide them through properly operating the hardware, how to inhale vs smoking, etc... and then it's only a matter of time that they start to see the light.

I helped my best friend Jimmy switch. When we are places and I had my V2 cigalike he would always pester me for a puff. I got tired of it and told him to order one so he will quit bugging me about it. Sure enough within less than a month he is getting into DIY liquids.

It was more of an accidental convert, but hey it counts! :D

One so far, working on a couple more. One of them I got interested in it before I even got my full eGo setup. I pointed him in the right direction - he wasn't able to get to the B&M to get stuff, but his wife got him a rechargeable gas station setup, which got him off the nasties. PAD+ smoker now using a Logic rechargeable setup, but I just got an extra eGo battery and tank, and a few juices, for him. Pretty much we both quit almost at the same time. I'm working on a few more though :D

There is something akin to religious zeal in our attempts to convert "heathens" to the true faith of e-cigs. Upon switching myself I felt a very strong urge to convert as many "non-believers" as possible. Particularly my family (because I care for them deeply). I must say I still have that same feeling/ferver. I have successfully converted one fellow so far and am in the processing of converting my fiancee. She is taking awhile and still smokes a few cigarettes a day along with vaping her 808's (she is happy with them). But I feel she will see "the light" soon. I hope to convert many more in the near future.

Just my dad so far.

No such thing as "just" imo :) congrats!

So far.. 1

And the lady who converted me went back to smoking.. now she's giving vaping another shot..
here is my dilemma: the one who went back to smoking tried to hide it from me.. i wasn't judging her.. AT ALL.. i can tell she feels some sort of obligation to me for her to not smoke..
As to the why.. I'm sure i don't know.

I hate that she feels like she has to explain herself to me.. she owes me nothing.. i owe her a great deal.

She is kicking her self for going back to smoking. Feeling guilty with you is just a mind game she is playing with here self it has nothing to do with you. I would say give her a big hug next time you see here thank her for helping you and offer to return the favor.

39? That is pimp level

I'll take dat as a compliment. Although, I must say dat I never approached any of 'em! If they were curious, they asked me. Once they asked, yepper, 'pimped' whatever was working fer moi at dat time or what I thought would 'fill da bill' fer 'em.

Will add dat several have vaped, smoked and returned to vaping. Those are now truly committed to vaping!

I'm not sure I helped convert anyone. I helped a random on Facebook get a better setup, my friend asked me for my advice on a decent starting kit, and another friend's manager asked me for similar advice but the only one out of them that went from having no ecig to having 2 Vision Spinner's was my friend.

Last time I saw said friend I let him use my Vamo all day, I think that is his next buy.
