Been 2 months into vaping and I've helped 2 friends and 1 relative totally quit smoking. The 2 friends, whom I frequently "enjoyed" smoking with in the past, saw that I got into e-cigs, were shocked that I converted, and I simply pointed them over to the local B&M store where I bought some of my stuff and told them to sample the flavors, especially RY4. By the time I saw them again, they were hooked.
The relative, my 20yo nephew, was curious about it, and I just let him have a go at my ...errr.... eGo... and a few tanks I cleaned up for him and filled them up with tobaccos and a couple of Gourmet flavors. He was hooked! I'm glad I participated in helping them move away from cigarettes. Besides smoking, one thing that was common between them was the fact that each one had actually tried eCigs before. It turns out that they simply had a couple of puffs, and they thought, "Nah..."
I find that to get a person to convert, there has to be some experience of trying out different liquids and flavors. They will like some, and not others, and begin to enjoy the tasting process. Also, someone's gotta be there to guide them through properly operating the hardware, how to inhale vs smoking, etc... and then it's only a matter of time that they start to see the light.
