How many soldiers' lives could've been saved?

Had e-cigarettes existed 100 years ago? I mean, think about it. How many times have troops' positions been given away by the sight or smell of cigarette smoke, or the cig-.... that was absent-mindedly not field stripped? Just a thought


I hope no-one takes offense to this. I'm not trying to minimalize the reality of war. Just kind of a funny thought I had.

If we ban smoking how about we ban war. If we are woried about the lives of service men and women are not bombs and guns worse? I have friends and family in Iraq. They and I worry more about them getting killed by roadside bombs then their smoking.

How many people could have been saved? Around 100 million people died because of tobacco use in the 20th century.
