I use tiny rdas. Smaller is definitely better flavor but your coil build and wicking will also affect what you get as others here have said. I change my wick every day or every 2 days depending on how heavy I vape. My diy ejuice is a very sweet dessert and I like to have the purest taste. Could I go 3-5 days without changing? Sure but I enjoy a fresh wick every day or so better.

I have a cheap RDA clone I use when mixing juices - I cut enough wicks for a change between each mix so I can get untainted flavour tests.
My regular RDA only has the wick changed when needed - I vape it TC (temperature control) so that's not too often unless, like others have mentioned, I'm vaping an overly sweet juice which does tend to caramelise quite quickly. My coils are only changed when their resistance starts to wander - a month or two average.

When I feel like it...

I mostly use my RDAs for testing and a "let's mix things up and take the box of a 100 bottles out"...
And taking in account that I have 4 on the go at all times

So it could take months, before I bother, or that one flavour won't clear out of the wick.

I tend to keep my coils very clean too, but still, the worse will be the wick will take the colour of the more colorful liquids...

Theses were at least a few months old when I took the pictures. TC helps a lot in keeping the coil clean too.

Two weeks since last change. I don't add extra sweeteners to my juice :)

I change my cotton every day and burn off the coil It takes all of five minute. I get better taste from my every day vape,Honey Pearry Vapor chef
Oh man that was my adv for a long time. It eventually started tasting like too much pear for me, the other flavors sort of disappeared from my pallet. I'm still convinced the recipe changed but I probably just tired myself out on the flavor. Nonetheless it's a great juice, Hobbes blood is also great.
