Yeah that looks sweet.... Since my eyesight is horrible I can't see if those are single wire coils or claptons.... You mentioned those aren't your pics and so i suppose that is a mute question...... Yeah he needs to try that type of coil configuration because the air ports on that rda are surrounding the sides of the coils. If he doesn't get good flavor from horizontal mounted duals then something is drastically wrong.

Ryan at Flavour Chasers did the build in those photos. Per the article I linked he did "a dual, 3mm ID, 5 wrap, 24 awg, spaced build coming in around 0.2-0.25 Ohms and run it on a mech squonker for an incredible vape experience. The top cap doesn’t seem to have heating issues either thanks to the reduced chamber inside." LOL. I won't build that low.

As to the VLS RDA, IMHO, as long as he positions his horizontal coils so the bottom third of each coil is getting hit with air, he should be able to get good flavor. If not, then I would say it is not a very good RDA.

Either that or something is whacked with the juice..... From what I have looked at this morning, that particular RDA is liked by lots of folks. Since I have not tried that RDA then I can't be certain about the flavor profile (only what others say about it)......

My take away from his situation is that his coils are overly saturated for starters and if he is not running enough power then that will make the situation even worse......

If I were him, I would do the horizontal coil configuration and align the coils as close to the airflow ports as possible. I would also make sure I am running enough power for the claptons he is using. I would also make sure I didn't over saturate the coils. Hopefully he will read all of these posts and get it figured out.

When running dual vert coils in the VLS RDA, the top cap gets rotated 90 degrees so that the air flow holes (in top cap) aim right at the vert coils. When configured this way, the air does not travel through the air holes seen in the deck.
I tried both ways tho direct by the coil and the other way the reg way im litterly clueless
I PM'd him and sent him a link to a build video for vertical coil configuration..... We will have to see if it helps him.
If its jai haze i watched already eve tried copying him just not getting flavor

Coils are closed together ,wick snuggly through the coil and not to much duno what to do tbh i redid it all day long wasting kendom ... cotton and 6 coils =/

Well, I am stumped for sure......... I am all out of options...... It is not your juice since you say you get decent flavor from the sub ohm tank..... What type of sub ohm tank do you have and are they mesh coils?

Maybe it is just an inferior RDA design..... Like I said b4, most ALL RDAs have decent flavor....... I have never had or tried one that didn't...... About the best way I can describe the type of flavor that you should get off of a well designed RDA is that if you pour the juice directly into your mouth.... My tiny little Rath RDA is so flavorful that my mouth waters when I vape on it. It almost feels like the juice is poured directly into my mouth..... A good RDA is every bit as flavorful as sub ohm tanks with mesh coil heads (usually better)........... Of course, some RDAs are not as flavorful as others but most of them provide good flavor.

That must be some Very Thin Fused Clapton wire for a Dual Coil build to Ohm-Out at 0.6. I run a Single Coil in a NarDa that is made from 26ga SS. It comes out to 0.4 ohms.
