Do you still have to add a flavor wick with cotton?

Depends on how thick your juice is, no real "rule." Most of mine are relatively thin, so I do or they leak. Thicker juices maybe not.

And just trim it all flush with the washer looking part of the coil, if using bottom single coil (Kanger type). Leave it too long and it may get caught in the threads.
