I am fairly new to the vape world. I've been analog free since March 28th of 2013. my current setup consists of ego batteries with evod clearomizer's. I'm pretty happy with the vapor I receive most of the time from my evods... but sometimes I just want more. the vamo has caught my eye more than once and I've done some research... but I'm still confused to say the least. what exactly can I expect to see different from a Vamo then what I see with the egos. they seem a little more complicated. will they work with An evod? I have A protank that I could use but it's not my Favorite, I think mostly because of the cold vape and the metal tip. any info good or bad regarding the Vamo is appreciated. Thanks In Advance!

Hello! I have a vamo V2 and LOVE it. I switched from a 3.7 volt ego style battery. The VW feature on the vamo is awesome. I say go for it. You can get a whole vamo kit at Fasttech that includes a Nitecore charger and 2 panasonic batteries (work GREAT in the vamo) for about $50. I don't know how much research you've done on the V2 vamo, but make sure its it N02 mode. You change from N01 to n02 by holding plus button for 10 seconds. The screen will first show your resistance, then you want to see N02 after holding button a bit more. If you see N01, release the button and hold again for 10 seconds (or until you see N02). I think the vamo V3 only has the N02 setting.
I assume an evod would work. But the evod is also a bottom coil, so not sure how much warmer the vapor would be. I use bot the protank and the vivi nova on my vamo.

night and day. when I went from fixed voltage to VW holy crap. I should have been doing this all along.
Also, if you can get SS model you should. I have the black chrome model and the SS is better quality. I actually just added a wrap to my vamo last night...
Can't go wrong with a vamo, unless it doesn't work, like the free one some unnamed online shop sent me by accident. Thankfully the one I did order and paid for worked fine, but getting a free broken one was a bit of a tease. If you plan to go above 12 watts you need to stack 2x 18350 to achieve maximum vamo power! It's so sad when I put one of my drippers on an fixed voltage ego, because it reminds me how great VW is.

had my vamo for 8 months and that's really all I use. no issues what so ever. I love it to say the least. for the price you cannot go wrong. check out pbusardo's review of the vamo or grimgreen has a great one as well. enjoy.

N01 is AVG mode
N02 is RMS (Root Mean Square) mode. This will be a more reliable and accurate method of delivering consistently accurate voltage.
When the Vamo works at AVG (N01) status, it may produce much stronger power on the same atomizer than working at RMS status. It will likely damage your atomizers greatly.
I strongly suggest you to use only RMS (N02) status, because RMS status will perform very well.
Please do NOT try AVG (N01) status if you are not a veteran.

I'm confused about the batteries. can I only use one 18350 in short mode or can I use One 18650 in short Mode? do I need to buy the 18350's? and will there be a learning curve from the ego? I feel so uneducated, yet so grateful that I have this forum to ask. I'm pretty much convinced now that the Vamo is the way I'm going to go... and you guys rock with your quick responses...Thanks So Much.

If you want more vapor production, your best route is to invest into a mechanical mod with a drip/genisis/etc. style atty.
You can use single 18350 (short mode) or single 18650 in full mode. Double (stacked) 18350s would still be full mode. Unless you want to run the vamo at high watts, I persoanlly would not stack the 18350s. There is not a big leaning curve at all. Sure its different, but the menu system is very easy. Vamo is one of the best VV/VW PV in the market considering its price. Dont think twice mate, VAMO is several level better than your ego setup in terms of vaping experience.

I love my Vamos. Of ALL the devices I have owned to date they are the most flexible in use. They are also delightfully easy to use. You will not regret the move to a Vamo. As for mech mods that have been mentioned, those are more for the sub-ohm rba crowd, which is a different bag of spanners entirely.

Using 2 X 18350 batts (stacking) requires some extra knowledge and care.
I can notice a HUGE diff between my Spinner/ Twist and the Vamo both firing at the same voltage. It's the RMS mode that makes the diff.
As for the Menu I've used/ owned all types of PVs and the Vamo Menu is by far the easiest and most user friendly. Set it in VW and let the Vamo do the work/ set the voltage automatically.
Get the SS as the other finishes are fingerprint magnets and scratch very easily.
If you were to buy the FT Vamo package here/ Stateside it would run you approx double the price.
You'll want this kit...
