I was fortunate enough to have the guidance of Mistress Nomad when I started before she made her videos. I would highly recommend new vapers to take the 30 minutes and check out her Stickied Videos in the New Member Section.

She was a life saver for me! got me interested in that cool looking two piece thingamajig! its how i ultimately found V4L!

:laugh: My first e-cig starter kit + cartos cost $400 AUD !!! White Cloud. What can I say, they worked, I never looked back but I did look around. Apart from White Cloud I bought stuff from Elusion, Cigarti, Heaven Gifts and E-cig. I've thrown away a lot of cartos and a few batteries.

Am now happily V4L. I worked out this morning that I have enough hardware until batteries start dying, but I know I will buy more when diamonds are back in colour choices. I have enough cartomizers for at least a month, but I shall order more because I am still honing my flavour choices.

I figure that after 6 months I will have settled into more of a routine and be less tempted to buy new things so will start saving $. I'm right, aren't I? Guys??? Tell me I'm right?!! :ohmy:

I'd bet I've spent upwards of $700, in the 1-2 months I've been vaping. A lot of that went for hardware and juices that I will probably not be using. The experimental nature of it, along with it being a "hobby", lends itself to that sort of spending. I have, however, been able to redistribute some of the stuff I will not be using, to 3 or so smokers who now believe. And I now have enough juice/hardware to get me through 3-4 months.

3-4 months of a 1.5 pack habit = ~$1,000
Net financial gain of not smoking, for the 1st 3-4 months = ~$300
Health benefits of not smoking for 3-4 month = priceless
Oh, and introducing at least 3 new people to a way to kick their decades-old habit=even more priceless

So, yeah... $700 well-spent. And I figure it'll only cost me a fraction of that, from here on out.

I think that when you get beyond the hoarders in the group the old timers will pretty much agree that you can save a bundle. It depends on how much you would pay per pack. It also depends on whether you vape like you smoked. Try to limit it to 6 minutes at a time unless you were a chain smoker. You should easily be able to get the cost down to 75 cents per equivalent pack of cigarettes or even much less. Not counting sales. The longer you vape the less it will cost after the initial investment.

Well my smokes were $40 a carton at a carton a week thats $160 a month....I spend maybe half of that on vaping a month sometimes less....unless I just wanna try some new juices everyone is talking about...I did stock up on juice the first few months but even then I only spent what I would have on cigs....so I have been saving money from the start....I do have some self control :)

Well, I just looked at all of my orders in the last month or so, which should decrease as I have moved towards ejuice and I hope to DIY eventually, and I have spent about 130$. But I have xtra cartos blanks, 3 batts and 60 ml of juice so I should be good for a bit. But, butts are about 9.00/pk here so I would have spent about $250 in that month. So even with the overbuying at v4l, savings are good and I love not smoking!

Ok here is my breakdown

Analog's first.

10.00X2=20 bucks a day
20.00X7 days 140 a week
140X52 weeks to 1 year is 7280 a year spent on cigs for me.

Now lets do it for e cigs for my future year since I have a daily vape

1 bottle lasts me 1 month or so

2 bottles of wowboy 2 bottles of smilin ordered lets say once a month even though that is not true for me

4X12.50=50 bucks a month
50X12=600

Now to calculate shipping

6.50x12=78

And lets say I buy 2 batteries for my mod which is 13 bucks.

678+13=691

So 691 verses 7280 a year. Now yes I do order drip tips, try different flavors, but that is my basic order, 2 smilin 2 wowboys every other month usually. So for me you can divide 691 by 2 and that is what I will be spending a year, little more, little less.

Well down here in the death state cigs are about 4.50 a pack but when I was smoking 1 pack and wife 2 packs a day I was spending about 400.00 a month.The first several months of vaping was too lazy to refill but was still only spending 200-250 a month.Now that I'm refilling saving bigtime.Hell I couldn't afford cigs now.

Saving, well that's not something I am close to doing yet, but I am getting there.

Have my batts have my juice favorites and have my two select vape systems(for now).

I have spent about 700 including shipping to get here in two months. I have only been analog free for 18 days. But in that 18 days I have saved 117 bucks on smokes. It will not take me long to catch up... Till Steve gets back that is.
