What do you spend?

Funny, I just figured this. Past six months, $11.50 a month averaged.

Do my own mixes for my main vapes only rarely buying premixed. Saving a ton that way. buy my nic from Wizard Labs. Half liter of 24mg/ml is $24.29. Buy that with a PG base then get a half liter of VG for $9.49 and that's $33.78 a liter for 12mg (not counting shipping). I whipped up a spreadsheet adding in shipping, flavoring, etc. and came out about 8 cents a ml. Run around 7ml a day (that's a bit of an overestimate actually) so got it down to around 50 cents a day. $15 a month about.

Compared to I used to spend some $350 a month on cigs.

(I always say, you can turn vaping into a hobby and spend quite a bit on "toys". And if that's what keeps you off tobacco and you're having fun, knock yourself out. But you don't have to spend a lot. In fact, it's stunningly cheaper than smoking. Especially with all the taxes they've added to tobacco these days.)

50 - 70 a month. But the problem is I haven't found an ejuice that I absolutely love and would wanna use as a daily vape, so I've been buying bottles every month and trying em out. I now have 1 entire shelf of ejuice ranging from i-hate-it-and-wanna-kill-it-but-i-can't to mehhhh-once-in-a-while to this-isn't-too-bad. My search continues for something I love, although I have some legend(gandalf) from HHV on its way to me. I'm PRAYING that is THE ONE.

on a side note, if you have a good recommendation for a pure tabocco (minimal sweetness/caramel), pure tobacco with menthol (that's my gandalf order 50-50vg/pg with mild menthol) and a nice lemonade-ish flavor, i will be eternally grateful. (pls ignore this if this is hijacking the thread!)

p.s. I have 30ml of v2 platinum mint tea eliquid with 18mg that I would have no problems with giving away. PM me if by some chance you're one of those who actually enjoy it.

I'll take it! It doesn't look like I can PM you. I'll be happy to paypal shipping costs. Maybe you can PM me.

I'm new to vaping, just decided it's time to quit. I spent about 40 bucks in DIY tobacco. Vaping seems like it'll cost more, unless I can get to the advanced level.

So far I'm not picky about juice. Mint tea sounds good.

You may want to request an invite to zamplebox since you are not picky...I ended up with about 75ML a month with the regular box (24.99 a month) good way to find what you do and do not like :)......

Ok so I'm new to this forum and have no clue how to PM people. I've tried going into their profiles but I don't really see any options. A couple of people have asked me for my extra v2 mint tea 18mg eliquid, and I would love to give it away, although my preference would be to give it to a newbie because well, they probably need it more. If you can figure out a way to PM me your address, I would gladly send it to you free of charge. I figure I could use some good karma. Note though, it IS a 50ml dropper bottle, and I've used about 15 - 20 ml of it already. I am a hygiene freak, so no worries about contamination or anything. Just wanna help another fellow vaper out :)

Ya know.... my main reasons to stop smoking; 1. Spouse having a widow maker, 2. sick of the cost of the addiction.

NEVER, paurached any premade e-juice. I'm seeing folks post paying $1 / ml. Shipppp... i fgure just might as well smoke if vaping ends up as high as smoking was.
COST: 10mls a dollar sounds close.

I buy my premixed juices in 16oz bottles wholesale from one of the larger juice suppliers. It costs me about .07 per ML. Using my Kayfun Lite and Kayfun Lite clones I use about 5 ml per day.
So about .35 per day and about $10 per month.
I was spending about $200 per month on real tobacco cigs, so I use part of the savings buy tanks and mods. So I still save money and feel much better health wise.

I give a little of the juice away to my best friends and try to help out a few people.

you should have enough post count to PM now....just click on the blue link of the persons name and a menu will come up the second one down is private message ...there is also a PIF section (Pay it Forward) where you can give or trade juices ...just type PIF in the search box in the upper right hand corner and push the magnifying glass

My hubby is dying looking at what I'm spending trying to find some good juices, and I ordered a few different battery set ups, blah blah blah. I don't really wanna add up what I've spent all together from the get go.

My response to him? "It's cheaper than lung cancer!"

Good answer. :)

Also, I found that getting "set up" isn't any indication of normal. I started with Bleah, I mean Blu, found ECF, switched to a still "cig-a-like" but Joyetech set up, ordered every juice under the sun and not long ago did add up how much I was spending and passed out for a while. :)

Then realized my spending on cigarettes which have become very expensive had been dropping like a rock (which startled the hell outta me lemme tell ya, nobody thought I'd quit, I sure didn't think so). It was almost a "wash". I did go overboard one month switching to my Twists with Vision carto set up then...

Went DIY on the juices (simple stuff, nothing complex) and spent $30 in July then another $30 in November. Then $36 yesterday because my batteries are dying and won't hold a charge long so I started replacing them. So last six months... $16 a month average.

I don't think the "start up" counts. I've rarely run into somebody who hit the right combination of hardware and juices and all first time out. Most everybody has to play around with things, try things, experiment and then settle in with what works for them. But once you find what works for you and what you like, it can cost far less. Definitely less than cigarettes.

Between zamplebox, random orders, and all the DIY flavorings (I still have about a gallon of 12mg nic juice), I average about $150 per month. I am a very heavy vaper though. I usually go through 8 to 10 ml a day.

The worst part is that I was rolling my own cigarettes before I went to vaping, and my cost per carton was just under $6.00 with 2 cartons per week smoked. So my monthly expenses have more than tripled since I stopped smoking.....

Had to laugh when I read the title on this thread. I started vaping about a month ago and I don't even want to admit to myself how much I've spent this past month! I tend to go a little silly when I try new things and I've been loving this. But I've found I'm really picky about flavor - I need lots of it. So far, freemason's elixir and Alpha Vape have been doing it for me (thanks zamplebox for the Alpha!) So I went to my local B&M this weekend and bought one of each of both vendor's lines. :) on top of zamplebox, two samplers from Halo, plus another order of different Halo flavors, plus about thirty 6 and 10 ml bottles from DIYFlavorshack, and about ten or so random bottles from a few different B&M's - Haven't found that sweet spot quite yet, though.
