Hello people. I was just wondering about how much it will cost me on a month to month basis to vape. I started a thread a while back stating that I was losing money vaping relative to smoking in my first 7 weeks of vaping. Mostly because I was only paying about 50 dollars a month to smoke.

But that was then...I figure that if I do not diy and must purchase my juice from vendors, it will cost me about 120 dollars a month to vape. I figure this because I have no intention of vaping only one juice, therefore I must purchase my juice from different vendors.

I would like to have about 6 juices that I like and most likely, I will have to go to 6 different vendors to get it. I vape approx 6 mls per day so I need about 180 mls per month. So, 6 30ml bottles at approx 15 dollars plus 5 shipping will give
me 120 a month on juice plus a few dollars more on cartos. I do not know yet how many on average I will need on a month to month basis.

Also, I do not like to mix juices in cartos, I feel it takes away somewhat from the taste. I will probably have 3 cartos going simultaneously with different juices because I like to switch off. I do not like dripping so forget the attys.

This thread is not about how much fun you are having and the health that you are preserving. I understand those factors but I just want to know about the dollars spent, nothing more. I feel this will save members from posting how they do not care about the money because they feel better or are having fun. I am too, but this is not about that.

Also, I would want to take diy out of the equation because I have not yet started and know nothing about how much I will spend. I know it will be substantially less and I also know that if I cannot make a decent juice, I will not continue to do it.

I want to vape a juice or juices that I really like because for me that is the main reason why I started this was to have different flavors instead of the one tobacco I was smoking with analogs.

That being said, I would love to know on average how much vapers spend a month on vaping. That is all I would like to know. I would just love to know.

I bought 2 Riva starter kits when I joined and then a Joye ego 650 and Joye ego passthru. They are still working fine. I went to unflavored juice right away because I didn't feel like searching for the "right" juice. Still using it. I'm probably using 6-8 ml of 12mg daily. I use only Bogelr cartos. My cartos last me several weeks.

If I bought bulk, juice and cartos, maybe $75 a year?

How much does that unflavored juice cost...that's less than 7 dollars a month...that is really economical.

About $30 for 2 people. We don't go through much juice. And we like or trade the juices that are not for us. I have yet to get a bad juice/ one that does not taste like it was intended to.

I buy maybe 3-4 juice samples and a 30ml a month. And some atty's Bought my attys in bulk, but it averages to about $30 in all. And we vape about 3 different juices more or less if you include the samples. I havn't gotten around to buying bigger one of the juices we love. We are just vaping through what we got.

If all I used was 120 mL a month my eLiquid expense would be $1.17. Add in a C-E2 XL carto for a buck and a half and I'm still under $3 for a month. When I really splurge I use an Vision Extreme at $4.70 ea, but most the time I use the 5 mL tanks. Get rid of the Nic and the Flavoring and things really get cheap. (Like .007 per mL). JMHO

    Cheers,

If I spent $50 a month to smoke then I would only be smoking 5 analogs per day. I'm not sure how you go from 5 analogs per day to 6ml of juice per day.

I smoked 1.5 PAD & vape about 3ml of 24mg juice per day. That's about 90ml per month at $13.50 per 30ml. Grand total for juice is $40.50 per month. Toss in a few attys & I'm still around $50. Maybe you should raise your nic level & vape a little less.

You can get bulk mixable or premixed unflavored at Xtrevaping, onestopdiyshop, Nicvape. Once you get your nic level down, it's REALLY cheap. The less flavoring you mix in, the longer your cartos will last.

With coupon code I get 50 for $50 Bogelr's at Vaporkings.

Good to see you in a better mood about all this...........

I'll use 4.5ml a day, and 7 cartomizers a week. I was spending $270.00 a month on analogs. I buy all my liquid from one vendor, I love all her flavors. I order my juice in 30ml bottles that cost me $15.67 a bottle or $0.52 per ml.

    e-liquid: 135ml x $0.52 = $70.20 + $2.50 for shipping = $72.70
    cartos: 28 x $1.20 = $33.60
    Total: $107.30
    Savings: $163.70

My husband uses 2ml of juice a day and 3 cartos per week. He only vapes one flavor, so I buy him 120ml jugs and they last him 2 months. He was spending $180 per month on analogs.

    e-liquid: $52.50/2 = $26.25 + 2.50 shipping = $28.75
    cartos: 12 x $1.20 = $14.40
    Total: $43.15
    Savings: $136.85

I'm in the category of the poster. I go through between 4 and 5 30mls a day. I am not going to do diy, and I pretty much buy from one vendor, as I will only vape premium juices. What I have started doing lately is buy 36mg nic and I have a bottle of 50/50 pg vg, and I mix that in with the 36 to my desired nic level of 24mg up to 30 depending on how I feel. I realized that I don't intend to stop vaping and with the higher nic, I vape less.

the setup I mentioned works well for me. Diluting the 36mg does not affect the taste at all since Im not going down that far.

I spend about 75 bucks a month. Somewhere in there. I used to smoke 1pad so I'm saving about $50 currently.

I should have said that I rolled my analogs for the last year. I smoked easy 2pad and there was no way I was going to spend 25$ per day on analogs. I vape at a high nic level of 24 to 36mg and I might even be vaping more than the 6 ml...Not quite sure. I have not measured how much I vape each day yet. I do not have one vendor yet so I have to pay more for shipping so that will cost me an extra 25$ per month.

Based on what I am reading thus far, I am still spending more than every one else. I have to figure out why?

There's no way I'm saving money vaping, opposed to smoking. I was smoking RYO at ~ $25 /month. ~2x American Spirit pouch @ $12+ ea.

I'm vaping ~4 ml /day, for 120 ml /month. A juice I really like is $15 for 30 ml, for $60 /month, then there's the price of cartos which will run me ~ $7.50 a month or so once I get everything sorted out with the process. Total: a little more than double the cost of smoking.

So, though you don't want to hear this, I'm setting myself up for DIY to cut costs.

I agree with you...I am going to diy, but only if I can make a juice I really like. I want to vape a high quality juice and I guess that cost more money...Some of the numbers I am seeing here thus far are staggering. I do not know what kind of juice is so cheap. I'm talking about bwb, eliquid express, kbv and these houses...You cannot buy juices from these houses without spending money.

I guess, I am shopping at the wrong houses and if so...where are the quality juices at these cheap prices?

2 packs of XL Fluxos from GotVapes, about $12 a five pack, $24
I keep five flavors oj juice on hand at all times, plus a few steeping. 4 30ml bottles at $16 a bottle, $64

Total, under $90 a month. I like the fluxos because they last me a pretty long time. I bought my first pack about 6 weeks ago, and am still on two of them. You never get the burning filler taste, which I cant stand, and you can see how much juice is left in them. Cleaning is easy and has never left me with a mixed flavor with them whn switching juices.

Being in SC, analogs arent nearly as expensive as up north, maybe $4 a pack or $35 a carton.. I will say I got lucky fiding a setup I liked pretty quickly. But all in all, from a financial standpoint, Im doing a little better than breaking even. And I am a heavy vaper.
