New member here. Started July 1, 2013, and smoked my last analog the same day. Spent $300. initially and should be good to go to the end of the year with juice, bats, and carts. My analog bill here in Taxachusetts (although I would tend to buy them in NH, less taxes) would be ~$50 a week, so I'm figuring I'm already in the black. By year's end I hope to be looking at $1000. saved.

And man, do I feel better! (been smoking for 45 years)

Just over $300, in 2 weeks. Unfortunately, I wasted money on a v2 starter kit that is already almost worthless. Glad I found these forums. I did some research, then ordered the ProVari. I'm going today to get a backup or 2, so I'll be adding to my initial costs. Anything to keep me off of analogs!

They do a very large selection of liquids. Their cinnamon danish is particularly good.

Oh let's see here:
DSE801/BE112
Janty Stick
Vapre51
Cropduster CUB 600
Bulli Slim
Diamond Max
Prodigy
Protege
Bartleby
Bulli Elite
BB (Black Beauty)

And that's not counting the attys, cartos, clearos, or tanks, and I still haven't spent as much as my signature says I've saved on analogs. So I'm getting a EA clone for my birthday and a MKB-TS for christmas.

Spent about $30 on my first vaping experiment (Greensmoke, which gave me mixed results). Then about $140 on a Halo Triton Kit and assorted juices/accessories.

A week or so later, and so far the Triton has almost completely replaced my 2+ pack-a-day smoking habit. I still smoke one cigarette in the morning, because I feel like the instant hit of nicotine helps me to wake up, but after that it's vapor or nothing. Keeping my fingers crossed.

The nice thing is that I spend (spent) so much money on cigarettes (~$4,000 per year) that I could spend almost anything on vaping and still come out ahead. Even if I don't ultimately quit smoking, as long as I use all of the nicotine liquids I bought I'll have saved money in the short term.

Switching to ecigs began with me and my wife about 3 weeks ago. I tried months before, but it didnt sound good at the time. She overheard coworkers suggesting it so we went. That was about a 200 dollar trip that day. Couple of days later I tried another shop and fell in love with the evic, had to have it. Another id say 200 later, I have built it the way I want it. So to date, Within the month? Id say 400-480 dollars....

Better get you wife a bunch of flowers. :).

OMG, these replies are frightening! I spend about £60 a month on roll-ups: I use herbs (yes, herbs, nothing interesting!) mixed with tobacco. Trouble is, the tar level's astronomical if my fingers, teeth & cough are anything to go by. I've had no success with an e-cig yet, but thought it'd be better for me to try again.

Not at this expense, though!!

I've only been vaping 4 or 5 days and spent about $400 on hardware.
Started off with a $60 halo triton starter kit,
decided I wanted the versatility of 510 connections,
bought a 5 pack of Kanger mt3s' off eBay for $25 and thought
"Damn, might as well get a battery for each tank"
Proceeded to get 4 batteries at $15-$20 a piece,
Bought 4 chargers for $25 (which don't seem to be charging at all)
Sold the triton and a couple others to friends,
and I just ordered a smoktech sid
(black original rubberized finish to match a Kanger mt3s)
and then I saw the ksd Kmax and decided that it was to cool looking to pass up so I ordered 2 of them, one for my wife.
And then bought 3 different pairs of 18650 batteries and two chargers as well as some different tanks.
I don't know what compelled me to order the mods when my current setup is working just fine, I guess when I get into something I get into it deep.
Still cheaper than cig though.

You've got vaping fever man !:)

Not much; probably ~$150, (Tesla kit, PT2, few Evods, replacement heads). I've spent more on juice. :D

I might mess around with a mech mod and different exotic toppers etc down the road, but for me, a big part of vaping is saving some $ while replacing the analogs with a safe, indoors-friendly way to imbibe nicotine. It hasn't become a hardware intensive hobby for me.

Ymmv.
