What I want to know if it is at ALL possible to order just one bottle of juice from any website. I'm thinking no.

I haven't added up the damages yet but I think it's around $300 and that includes 2 starter kits and 5 bottles for Christmas presents, that's in about 2 weeks. So I'm well over what I would have spent on cigs, but I have lots of gear, lots of juice (never enough!) so I'm sure it will even out eventually. I'm not really interested in all the big $$ mods and still use the small 501's when I'm out.

The reactions of my family and friends when I tell them I've quit smoking cigs is absolutely priceless. :)

Hmm - i have spent rather a lot on these things - i have been vaping since August when my wife and i packed in the cigarettes. If i ignore the tanks, i have tried dual coil ones but Vivi Novas are my failsafe and just concentrate on the devices i have bought it breakdowns something like this:

two silver bullets (i lost the first one 2 days ago and have another already - ty Alt Smoke) at about $85 each,

one black beauty , a smaller bullet basically because the wife likes elegance - about $80

a REO grand i managed to score for about $145

and as a Christmas present for her highness, a yet to arrive eVic for about $112.

This disregards what i spend on e-liquid - i make my own and spares to try to make coils and a blowtorch etc etc! However, when we smoked i would spend over $400 a month easily on ciggies, so that's how i justify the whole thing and i cannot resist any gadgets that i encounter.

Happy vaping!

Since my start date (roughly when I started vaping) I've spent around 350. Expensive up front costs happen, but it's the same with any addiction...you figure out how to do it better in the first couple months, so your cost will be relatively high for those first 1-4 months as you learn and upgrade trying to find 'YOUR' prefered way of doing things.

I believe EVERYONE here has a noticable spike in money spent in this habit during these first months, it's just what happens. :)

Let's see.. Started with a ego-t starter kit for around $110 this past February and bought too many different liquids, cartomizers, tanks, atomizers the first couple of months.

Around early summer, I shorted both my batteries that came with the kit in my first attempt at rebuilding (vivi nova)

Bought two replacement 1100 mah ego-c twists for about $30 each but got better at rebuilding and have only needed to buy liquid monthly now for about $25 a month.

One of those batteries just died on me a few days ago so I just ordered a SS Vamo ($43.50), Xstar charger ($20), 2 hybrid panasonic 18650s ($12 each) and a Terminator R/A ($60).

Honestly I don't mind how much I'm spending on ecig stuff. Was spending around $200 bucks a month when I was smoking analogs, and even if I were to spend more on e-cigs, I tell myself its a pretty fun and addicting hobby =)

I spent about $150 during the first month. That got me three E-Power 14650s, a half dozen 14650 batteries, cartos, extra chargers and a variety of juices to try. Over a year later I'm still using the first E-Power 14650 and haven't touched the back-up units. I spent about $20 for some DIY lab ware. Monthly vaping cost is now about $20 per month. DIY saves money. I spent over $250 per month to smoke.

Been a vaper and smoke free for two months. First purchase was two 900 mah ego's with clearomizers and two flavors of juice - about $70. That lasted me about a month. Second month started to DD that set up for my 510's was $14.00 plus a sample pack of juice from the local vendor for $20. Since then another two bottles of 36ml ejuice for $30. Tried a 510 carto tank and hated it - $12 out the window (actually gave it to a friend). $8 for a five pack of clearomizer coils which is about time to reorder. So about $150 total. I've just ordered a new v-max though and two vivi nova's for a different setup so add that too even though I don't have it yet - $114. At two PAD, I've saved over $800 and spent $110 vaping and another $150 finding a hobby setup I like. Either way I figure I'm way ahead. Plus I'm on my way to lower health insurance!!

I meant to say I spent about $150.00 the first month. That's not counting the $50.00 or so I spent on SmartSmoke products. I'd actually like to support SmartSmoke because of who they advertise with, but they are entirely too pricey and use 808D-2 connections.

Still, I've spent maybe $300.00 in 2.5 months, and that's about equal to a month of smoking.

I'm impressed with people like you that make good choices and stick with them. The pull to keep trying new things is what makes vaping so expensive. Of course not compared to smoking, but at some point you have to stop comparing to smoking because it's no longer part of your life.

Congrats on all that money you've saved and your year of vaping.

Thanks, but I was lucky to pick some good equipment to begin with. LR cartos produce a lot of vapor at 3.7V. The 14650 battery is 1050 mAh and that's plenty of vaping hours for me. I also like a smaller APV that fits easily in a pocket. The E-Power 14650 isn't a mini, but it isn't full sized either. When I hit one year without a cigarette I'll probably upgrade to a top-of-the-line, larger, more full-featured APV for use at home.

Since my first order arrived on 9/2/12 ($166.44) which was a Lavatube, spare battery, some juice and pre-filled cartos, I have spent a grand total of $699.03 and yes that is down to the penny. I have a bit of a spreadsheet fetish:blush: I have spent $334.39 on 'consumables' cartos and juices. I also spent $364.64 on 'non-consumables' my original Lavatube, 3 Phiniacs, 2 Vivi Novas various connectors/adapters. Now this is higher because until I stumbled on the Phiniac tanks I was experimenting a bit and I'm still trying to find those 3 or 4 core juices I will vape every day. I've gotten pretty close on the juice, but I still have a bad habit of buying juices that I think sound good and then I'm like 'yuck', why didn't I think about that more... I'm looking at you butter rum, Sweettart and apple pie...why did I think vaping pie crust would be good?

i'm trying not to spend too much...when the vaping craze first started a few years ago i started with a Blu. it didn't take long for me to graduate to an eGo when it came out. i dabbled a little in juices and modifing cartos to be refillable but in the end i started getting headaches. now i decided to give vaping another chance and placed a few orders the other day and anxiously awaiting for their arrival. i ordered a stainless VAMO, 2 vivi novas, and 2 drip tips from healthcabin for $75.77 shipped. From rtdvapor i ordered 2 panasonic 18650s, 2 efest 18350s, trustfire tr-003p4 charger, and seperate plastic cases for the batteries for $52.53 shipped. and lastly 13 bottles of juice (3 10ml bottles and 2 sample packs) from freedomsmoke for $53.15.

so starting with round 2 i'm in the hole for a grand total of $181.45!
