Quit smoking and started vaping three weeks ago. By now I would have spent about $105ish in cigs. Spent $105 in vaping, have two great setups and ejuice to spare. But now just have cost of ejuice and coils for a while. So by cost comparison, my expenses are going to drastically decline!!! Although, don't care as much about that part as I do about saving my lungs from massive amounts of carcinogenic chemicals including formaldehyde, arsenic and ammonia, yuk, that i inhaled with every cig.

I just started about 6 days ago, spent $114 so far. That's for:

• (3) Batteries
• (2) USB Chargers
• (4) Bottom Coil Clearos
• (3) Spare Bottom Coils
• (4) 10ml Liquids
• (5) 5ml Liquids
• (1) Ego Carry Case

Oh, and another $10 for a really cool fishing lure box that I use to store everything in :) I don't intend to spend anymore until I finish all my liquids. My next purchase would be to upgrade the battery, thinking itwist 3.0 vv, but that won't be for a while.

I hear you on the box...
I have two kanger evod kits
Ego twist1100
Kanger mt3s tank
2 DIY BOX MODS
and about 10 10ml ejuice

This stuff is more addicting than i thought

Probably around $1,600 on vaping, but I'm not sure. Lot of this stuff I don't remember, I started vaping in 2009. So I'm guessing.

2009 stuff...

DSE901 Kit $60?
Ego Kit x2 $120?
Prodigy V2 $70?
E-Liquid $400ish
GGTS $212
GGTS AVS $120
510/901 atomizers $100

$1,100ish for 2009/2010 (I Quit vaping and went to smokeless for 3 years or so)

2013

6x various 18650's
IGO-L
Kanger Protank
iTaste SVD
some off brand charger
ithaka clone
chi you clone
nitecore i4 charger
1,000ml various eliquid
trident clone
kayfun 3.1 clone
nemesis clone
aga-t2
protank clone
extra protank coils
silica wick, various kanthal a-1, mesh, & cotton..

Total: $450 or so (Everything bought for 2013 was from Fasttech other than kanthal & silica) I am actually hoping that this "kit" lasts me through till about 2014, or that I spend less than $720 for a year of vaping.

I was totally expecting to see a provari in your list. But there isn't.

A quick update: I posted (#57) in April but have added a few toys, flavors and supplies. The total is now $3303.85 which comes to $4.46 per day. If, however, I take into account the stash of juice, tanks, cartos and PVs it's a little over $3.00 per day. Not bad when the cost of a pack of analogs here is about $5.25.

If you live in Arizona, buy ALL the toys. Average cost of cigs, $9.65 If you live in New York, buy toys for your friends too. Cigs in New York: $14.50. Keep on vap'n.

Why are cigarettes more expensive in NY ?......

[Mid-July]Not exactly sure of the monetary total... since I started six weeks ago I've bought probably 200-300ml in juices, and then there's the hardware:

Two T2 Clearo starter kits (one for me, one for my wife).
2 Ego Twist 1100mah and 1 600mah extra batteries
Evod clearo and five extra coils
3 KangerProTanks, five extra coils
Smoktech rebuildable dripping atty
extra drip tips
Vamo v2 mod, 4 batteries, charger
Did mini RBA, clone
ATI RBA
spool of kanthal, 3mm silica wick, a square foot of 500 mesh
RSST RBA
ceramic wicks

In spite of the fact that the mailman is bring me stuff a couple of times a week I'm still spending less than I did on cigs (which is a nice way to rationalize, don't you think? Of course that's only because I've been fairly frugal so far... my attys are in the $20-$30 range and I oxidize my wicks over the kitchen stove instead of buying a torch. But all that could change any time... even now, I'm feeling the irresistable pull of Foggatti, Zatty and Doc Dave. Help me. Someone. Please.

OK, here's an update a month later... I've bought a Kanger Pro Mini for my wife and a Protank 2 for myself. I've got a couple of Vapelab drip tips and a Sigeli 20 Roller clone and a Phoenix DRA-XL V2 dripper on the way. A Rainbow Heaven Elite Hybrid and a Davide on pre-order. Plus a few more batteries. Probably $170 total. So I guess I'm into it for about $500 since the beginning of June. Oh, I forgot... I started mixing my own juice, so I guess that's another $100 or so for VG, PG, Nic, flavors, bottles and syringes. Am I done? I guess so... the wife is starting to notice the bills, might be time to back off a bit.

Well, that was mid-August, time for another update:unsure:. The day after I wrote that message was my 60th birthday and I treated myself to a few goodies. Nothing big, just more batteries, a new charger, more juicemaking supplies. I also joined Todd's Reviews forum, and later High End Mods forum... man, these are not folks you want to hang out with if you want to save money. I returned the Sig 20 (bad switch) and got a Sig 19e (brass). Then a Storm Rider TiN. Still more juicemaking stuff, more wicks, coil and mesh. I bought a counterfeit Nemesis, liked it so much (and felt so guilty) I bought a real one (Vape Rev edition) a few weeks later. Even though I was mixing my own juice, I couldn't resist trying Goose Juice, Grants Vanilla Custard, Pluid, Boba's Bounty and a few others. Latest purchase was a titanium Svarog genny. Total spent? No clue, and I'm not sure I even want to know. I'm guessing it's between $100 and $200 a month, which maybe isn't so bad for a hobby this rewarding... but it's more than I was spending on cigs, so I guess the rationalization I started with back in June has pretty much fallen by the wayside.
