Let see, in the ~7 months or so ive been vaping, I have bought 2 egos (55$ total), 2 clearos (20$), 5 cheapo atomizers (50$), drip tips(10$), drip shields (10$), titan v1.5 from vho (150$), igo-L (15$), kanthal (10$), silica (5$), 2 mnke's (30$), charger (30$), ~15 bottles of juice 30ml (150$). 55+20+50+10+10+150+15+10+5+30+30+150= [535$] I used to smoke a pack every ~2-3 days at about 6 bucks per pack so 7 months= ~220 days, ~100 packs, so I would have spent around 600 dollars on cigs, So I have essentially saved about 70 bucks... but I didnt used to smoke many cigarettes on the weekends so I would say I have come out about even... The biggest wastes of money were the FEW times I bought juices I didnt like (that happened only like once, because the place I buy them from lets you taste any flavor you want), and the other biggest waste of money was on those cheapo 510 dripping atomizers. People think ego's are cheaper but in all reality, they are more expensive in the long run cause you are contantly buying replacement atomizers or clearos at around 10 bucks a pop.. cheapest way to vape is buy a clone mechanical mod right away and start coiling your own .... and making your own juices.. but I have yet to find even a single person on this forum whose first device was a mechanical clone, and they never bought anything vaping related prior to that... pretty much everyone has started on a cheaper device and ended up spending allot of money unnecessarily when they could have dropped that money on a more high end device that will last much much longer.

EDIT: most likely picking up a raijin, raiju, rai shin so thatll add another ~350$ to my total.. setting me faaar ahead of what I would have spent on cigs... but I expect I wont be buying another mod or atomizer for a solid year, only buying juice.. So I should eventually level off and come out even again after another ~6 months

First waste of time, can't remember the brand name cigarette-sized ecig cost me $90 for the starter kit. Sad that people take advantage of first time users with these overpriced pieces of junk.

Second waste of time was a pair of iTaste SVDs with 2000 mAh batteries that I bought for myself and my wife. 5 months later and the fire button is broken on both. Another $300 down the drain.

Replaced my SVD with a Halo Triton about 4 months ago, and haven't found a need to look at anything else after that. When my wife's SVD broke last week she immediately asked for a Triton as a replacement for hers as well. Add in a pair of VV batteries, 5 mini tanks, and one pack of replacement coils.

All 5 ecigs and other hardware combined and I'm looking at a grand total investment of $615 in hardware.

Pretty cheap compared to a lot of people around here.

I'd hate to say how much I spent in the last two months as I explore vaping. My wife started with a Blu because it was easy for her to find... whereas I researched and found the variety of cartomizers and adapters to get other flavors for her. All the while I researched and ended up with different models to test for myself. She was the smoker, I wasn't.. but I'm loving the vaping experience, more than I ever loved the taste of cigarettes. Spent a few hundred, but still probably less than the cigarette cost for that time period would have been... and still have lots of cartomizers to go through before I look into juices.

"Papa". I posted somewhere else about the mvp itaste. I was thinking of getting one. Im assuming you like it? How long had them and do you still like them ?

Also..... Whats the deal with the vtr - why is it priced double the itaste- dont they do same things?

Last:). I have never vaped out of a tank ever and i have been vaping for 5 years. Would tank would you suggest with the mvp i taste

Wait one more.... If you or anyone has had them for awhile does the mvp last- is it durable?

Dont mean to highjack the thread - just desperate for some input on the mvp: if pm is more appropriate thats fine too, however ya want To do it. just need some experienced input :)

Thx :)

flexsr, I'd love to help you out with info on the mvp, but I honestly Just ordered it. Still in the mail. I went with that one because I've heard nothing but good things about it, and it uses an internal battery. I find them more convenient. The Vtr is more expensive because it's more powerful. It will hit 6V versus the mvp's 5V. It also uses replaceable batteries, so in theory there would be no charging time.

As for the tank, I've gone through a half a dozen or so before going with the protanks. They just really work for me. I use PT1, PT2 and the mini. All these use the same coil. The PT3, Aero and Unitank use the new dual coils, and i have not tried these. They seem to get mixed reviews so I'm holding out.

That's $98 USD not counting shipping cost to the states, $80 USD is my top dollar on the Atomic.

Of course the Atomic beats the KFL+ in vapor/flavor as it's a dripper with a tiny air chamber :D

I appreciated the link nonetheless.

Yeah that's exactly what said when pitted the two against each other, shame out of price range hope you find one as it's one hell of a dripper can tell why Rip Tripper has it as his all time favourite, mind you i'm also having a good relationship with the Trident V2 not so much VP but on flavour it hits the spot and looks awesome.

Just about to add to my tally as off to get a Panzer on Saturday :2cool:

I made my first purchase yesterday. Itaste VV V3.0 and a protank 2. along with 2 50ml bottles of juice. That cost me 100$ even.

I plan on doing a lot of experimenting in the future and making a hobby out of it. Ive already whipped together a little shopping or wishlist haha. I can see this getting expensive quick. But im going to budget myself each month to guarantee i dont spend more then what i would normally spend on regular cigarettes.

So i was a pack a day smoker. 10$/day, 31 days. $310 dollars a month on cigarettes. So if i budget myself to keep it under 150 or even 100 per month, i will do just fine.
