Wow! What a question...brought me back to reality with all of this. Off the top of my head, I'd guesstimate I'm a good $600+ into it, so far. I started (end of May '13) with ordering the largest V2 starter kit available, followed by a ProSmoke kit. Shortly after, having bought an Ego C-Twist, I started dabbling with tanks, cartomizers and various vendors. I DID return the V2 as well as the ProSmoke kits (received refund for components ONLY with PS, and a FULL refund from V2...I was impressed!). This week I went ahead and purchased the "VAMO", which I've read SO much about...it'll be here by Monday (Hurray!!)...not fast enough! lol
In the meantime, I've wound up with about 50 carts, 15 different tanks, clearo's and carto's (favorite is the "Vision" Vivi Nova...none others compare...so far). I've also got an AGA T2+ on the way, along with a bunch of extras for rebuilds. Lemme see...I think thats it, as far as hardware goes...
THEN, you can add at LEAST $200 e-liquid, so far. Ehgad!!! Cheaper than smoking...um, not quite yet...perhaps once I settle in, am building everything and making my own juice(s). I've even thought about starting a business with this...but I would be my best customer
...VERY dangerous, for me ;D
Anyway...great question, thanks for bringing me around...time to stop BUYING for a spell! lol

Well started a couple of years ago with some vapor4life 808 starter kit (about $70) and bought a bunch of carts. Went well for a month or two and then picked analogs back up. About a month ago I decided that those underpowered devices just didn't cut it. After a ton of research bought a $50 Vamo (in Stainless), a Kanger Protank ($15), and some juice. Also bought some extra heads for the Protank ($7). Already had AW 18650 batteries for a flashlight I have and also had a Pila charger for those same batteries so I'm not counting those items toward the vaping expenses :) The Vamo has kept me ciggy free for a month now and WOW what a world of difference over those old V4L 808 batteries. Nothing to be scared of going with variable voltage/wattage and personally I think those really increase your chances of not smoking again when compared to the lower powered devices out there.

So that's another thumbs up for the vamo then !.:toast:

I have very recently started vaping, and it's not so much the amount of money itself that bothers me, it's the amount of money I feel I have wasted. At a local B&M I bought a very cheap ($15 for 1 battery, charger and 2 cartos) cigarette look alike style and thought, wow, this is nice, just not satisfying. Then I saw they also sold a kit with a eGo style kit with 1 battery, 1 tank and a charger for $40. I jumped. It was much better, but I decided I needed another battery so bought another kit. Also, the carto tanks were $9 each. They said I should get 2 months use out of one. Um, no not really, they got bad after only a couple days, and I had to buy more. Then I decided to look online and found that I can buy the same setups for a fraction of the cost, and much better setups at a still lower price. So I feel I really wasted well over $100 at that shop getting started, but at least I got started. Been about 2 weeks without smoking analogs at all. Long winded, I know, but thanks for reading :)

B+M's do have there advantages, like taste testing. But are a lot more expensive !.

I have spent about $600 in 3 months vs the same amount in smoking. but that is only because i was finding what was right for me. And now i have found it. Vamo and kanger protank and evods vivi nova and a few ce4's and 5's. I have enough ejuice to last about a year and also i make my own ejuice with the flavors and vg,pg and nic juice i have purchased. There is another plus I make my own atty heads with the tanks i have so i save money with that also. Ill be in the black next month finally saving money and not spending it on analogues.
